🤣 It’s actually not terrible, but a necessary step in wiping the slate clean if you’re experiencing migration. I will be focusing on rebuilding collagen for several months before considering more filler.

Nurse Isabelle had older filler (🚩placed by another injector before joining our team) that had migrated above her upper lip and into the wet mucosal border.

This correction required two treatment sessions with Hylenex:

✨ Session 1 - I used a cannula and focused on dissolving filler above the upper lip that was creating excess bulk and diminishing the natural lip border, while also targeting migrated filler within the wet mucosal tissue.

✨ Session 2 - I used a needle to target residual pockets of filler that persisted within the mucosal border.

Filler that migrates into or is placed within an unintended tissue plane can sometimes persist for years and may require correction with hyaluronidase (Hylenex).
