Nobody talks about this part of healing!

You ever feel like you don’t even know who you are anymore?

Like somewhere along the way – survival became your personality… and now that you’re trying to heal, you’re sitting there like
“Okay… but who am I without all of that?”

This clip hit me deep because “lack of identity” isn’t talked about enough.

A lot of us weren’t given the space to become ourselves – we were just trying to make it through.

So if you’re in a season where you feel lost, disconnected, or like you’re starting over…
you’re not broken.

You’re rebuilding. 💜

Healing isn’t just about letting go of what hurt you – it’s also about discovering who you are without it.

There is a stage in healing and personal growth that most people don’t talk about…
Because from the outside, it looks like nothing is happening.
But internally… everything is changing.

This is what I call The Chrysalis Stage 🦋
In The My Journey Butterfly Model™, this is the phase where transformation is happening beneath the surface.

And it can feel like:
• you’re stuck
• you’re falling behind
• you’re losing yourself
• nothing in your life is moving forward

But what if that feeling isn’t failure?
What if it’s transformation?

Because the chrysalis stage is where:
🦋 old patterns break down
🦋 identity shifts quietly
🦋 emotional healing happens in depth
🦋 you are no longer who you were… but not yet who you are becoming

And that in-between space can feel uncomfortable because it’s invisible.
No one can “see” your progress.
But that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.
It’s just happening inside you.
Quietly. Slowly. Deeply.

And here’s something important:
Some of the strongest people you know are in a chrysalis stage right now… and you don’t even realize it.

So if you feel like nothing is changing in your life right now…
I want you to consider this:
You might not be stuck.
You might be transforming. 🦋

And you’re not as “stuck” as your mind is trying to convince you that you are.

Every single day, your body is regenerating billions of cells - rebuilding you whether you feel ready or not.

Sometimes what feels like stagnation is actually unseen transformation.
This is part of a larger conversation I’ve been sitting with around identity, change, and what it really means to become someone new.

I failed the GED math test in 2009… and I walked away from it for years.
I convinced myself I just wasn’t good at math.

That I couldn’t pass it.
That it wasn’t for me.
So I didn’t try again.

Until now.

I finally went back… and missed it by 5 points.
Five.

And tomorrow, I’m taking it again.

But this time, it’s different.
Because now… I have a job offer on the line.
A job I really want.
A job that aligns with everything I’ve been working toward.
And it’s contingent on me passing my GED.

So yeah - this isn’t just a test for me.
This is me facing something I gave up on for years…
and choosing not to walk away this time.

For a while now, I’ve been building something quietly behind the scenes.
Not because I didn’t want to share…

And it’s exactly what it sounds like…

And that’s what this podcast is about.
Not perfection.
Not having it all figured out.
But becoming.
