Today is Day 4 of my 36 · 36 · 36 · 36 practice, and my Role of the Day is Connector — Acquaintance to Many.
And this one is uncomfortable.
Because if I'm assessing myself truthfully, I haven't been much of a connector lately.
Over the last several months, my world has gotten very small. There are days when I feel more like I've become a hermit than someone connecting people, ideas, and opportunities.
And maybe that's exactly why this role showed up today.
One of my CliftonStrengths is Connectedness. Today I'm pairing it with Activator.
Not because I'm doing either one particularly well right now—but because recognizing disconnection gives me an opportunity to act.
So I'm not challenging myself to suddenly reconnect with hundreds of people.
I'm starting with one.
One conversation.
One introduction.
One relationship strengthened.
Maybe today's lesson isn't proving that I'm a Connector.
Maybe it's remembering how to become one again.

DAY 195 | 36 · 36 · 36 · 36 — DAY 3

Role of the Day: Father

118 days ago, we filed for our Virginia Department of Health Home Care Organization license.

Today, our business is facing real challenges while we continue waiting for the opportunity to fully begin the work we spent 195 days building toward.

But today's reflection isn't about the difficulty.

It's about fatherhood.

I cannot promise my son that everything I attempt will succeed. I cannot promise him a life without setbacks, uncertainty, or obstacles.

What I can do is give him an example of how I respond to them.

Keep going. Search for solutions. Learn. Adapt. Remain relentlessly persistent.

Hope becomes believable when it is lived.

Sometimes the greatest lesson we give our children isn't what we tell them.

It's what they watch us live.

Never give up. Never surrender.

This weekend marked a special milestone for all of us at Hospitium.

We had the privilege of welcoming back one of our returning families, making this our first repeat client to utilize multiple Hospitium services together.

While one spouse enjoyed a day at Caesars Virginia, the other received personalized companionship and care from our Hospitium Care team and was able to rest comfortably in our Ironforge Hospitality Suite.

Yesterday reminded us why we started building Hospitium. ❤️

Another successful companionship assignment. Another opportunity to serve someone with dignity, kindness, and genuine human connection.

We're also grateful to have successfully completed the pilot of a new benefit for our closest team members, friends, and family.

We call it our "Close Circle of Trust." (Yes... with a little inspiration from Robert De Niro in Meet the Fockers. 😄)

Our goal is simple:
