Cooking with Verna was extra delicious as she helped turn fresh basil from our garden into homemade pesto. We then topped flatbread with the pesto, mozzarella, and juicy garden-fresh tomatoes. 🍅🧀🌿

There’s something special about enjoying a meal made with ingredients we helped grow ourselves. Our friends at Morning Pointe thoroughly enjoyed every bite! ❤️

💪 A resident who once relied on a wheelchair can now walk 157 feet with a walker in two minutes.

With an individualized plan of care, consistent support, and in-house physical and occupational therapy, the resident gained strength and greater independence. Today, they can also independently manage dressing, self-care, toileting, and wheelchair use.

That progress means more than improved mobility. It means greater independence in everyday life. Stories like this are happening throughout Morning Pointe Senior Living, and they show why the right support, care, and encouragement can make such a meaningful difference.

🐾❤️ Help us lend a paw to local animals in need!

Kathy and Nancy, two of our wonderful receptionists, are helping spread the word about our donation drive benefiting the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society. We’re collecting much-needed supplies to help care for the cats and dogs waiting for their forever homes.

If you’d like to help, the shelter is currently in need of:
🐱 Cat & kitten food
🧺 Cat litter
👅 Lick pads
🧸 Dog toys
🛁 Towels

Every donation, big or small, can help provide comfort and care for an animal in need. We’re grateful to everyone who helps support this wonderful local organization and the animals they serve! 🐶🐱💙

🎒📚 Giving back, one backpack at a time!

Our residents had a wonderful time packing backpacks filled with school supplies for students at Perryville Elementary School. It was a special opportunity to support our local school and help students head into the new school year feeling prepared and excited to learn.

We love seeing our residents share their time, kindness, and generosity with the next generation. Giving back to our community is something we’re proud to be part of, and we hope these backpacks bring a little extra encouragement to the students receiving them! 💙✏️

🐾❤️ A little kindness goes a long way—especially when there are wagging tails involved!

Our residents had a wonderful time making homemade dog treats to share with our local humane society. After delivering the treats, they had the chance to visit the shelter and spend time with some of the sweet pets waiting for their forever homes.

It was a simple way to give back that brought plenty of smiles to both our residents and their four-legged friends. We hope our treats gave the animals a little extra love and made their day a little brighter! 🐶🐱

The shelter is also in desperate need of kitten food, cat litter, and lick pads. If you’re looking for a way to help local animals in need, consider donating these much-needed supplies. Every little bit can make a difference! 🐾💙
