Gregory "Greg" Allen Dean, 54, of Danville, passed away May 30, 2026, in Danville, Kentucky. He was born on January 15, 1972 in Louisville, Kentucky to Roger Allen and Ruby Peavler Dean of Mt. Washington.

Greg was the store manager for Kroger in Danville and was a dedicated employee for over 30 years. Greg loved the Louisville Cardinals, was a faithful member of Southland Christian Church and the beach was his happy place. He was a friend to everyone and lived life to the fullest.

Surviving are his parents, Roger and Ruby; a son, Andrew Dean of Nicholasville, a daughter, Abigail Stewart-Hoskins (Aidan) of Danville; a sister, Sharon Rountree (Brian) of Taylorsville; step-children, Hagen Tyler of Richmond, Landon Stratton of Danville, and Maddy Stratton of Danville; grandchildren, Sloan and Norah Stewart-Hoskins, both of Danville; two step-grandchildren, Ava and Malaya; two nephews, Clayton and Cody Rountree of Taylorsville; a special little friend, Asher Browning and a host of aunts, uncles and extended family.

Funeral services will be at 11 am on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt Washington. Visitation will be 5-8 pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the funeral home.

Brynda Gail Engle, 72, of Danville, passed away May 27, 2026. She was born March 1, 1954 in Danville, Kentucky to the late William Thomas and Viola Thomas Engle.

Brynda was a special education teacher, a position she dearly loved. She was an artist at heart. Whether she was decorating, designing, or sewing, she had a talent for making the things around her more beautiful. Her grandchildren, Addison, Levi, Ella, and Zoey were her world and the joy of her heart.

Surviving is a son, Jody Lenington (Carin) of Harrodsburg and a daughter, Jessica Lenington of Danville; grandchildren-Addison, Levi, Ella, and Zoey; a brother, William โ€œBillโ€ Engle of Junction City and sisters, Patsy Engle Steele of Danville and Peggy Engle Freeman (David) of Harrodsburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home.

Hope "Boosie" Louise Anderson Bartley

February 17, 1946 - May 19, 2026

Hope "Boosie" Louise Anderson Bartley, 80, of Danville, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at her home. She was born on February 17, 1946, to the late Earl and Glenn Muncy Anderson. Hope was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Bartley.

Hope worked for ATR for many years and was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. She loved to write songs and poetry and was the best mother and Grannymom to her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Gail Gordon and Sharon McQueary, of Danville, and Missy Hammond (Delbert) of Georgetown; two sons, Joey and Billy Bartley, of Georgetown; two sisters, Patsy Campbell of Lincoln County and Darlene Wilkinson of Tennessee; eleven grandchildren, Brittny, Jacob, Casey, Sydney, Tommy, Amber, Shanda, Jared, Josh, Landon, and Jeremy; many great/grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret Anderson of Danville; and her best dog, Scooter.

Also preceding her in death is a brother, Buddy Anderson; two sisters, Peggy Cummins and Billie Harris; great-grandchildren, Gerald Joseph Gordon and granddaughter, Jessica Mullins.

Funeral services will be at 1PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. JR Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11am until the time of the service on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be David Anderson, Scott Anderson, Tommy Campbell, Joey Harris, Parker Reynolds, and Brayden Gordon.
