When your shoulder starts negotiating with you every time you try to reach overhead… it might be time for the pulley. 😅

Bonus points if it also helps you stop waking up 14 times a night trying to find a “safe” sleeping position.

“How am I supposed to walk a mile?” 🤔

Fair question… but here’s the truth:
If 3 sets of 10 squats and calf raises are a challenge, your body isn’t ready yet.

Walking a mile isn’t magic — it’s strength 💪 + repetition 🔁 + tolerance 🏃‍♂️

Start where you are. Build it up. Then the mile becomes easy.

If you feel stuck between where you are and where you want to be, we can help bridge that gap.

🚀 Houston, we have a dorsiflexion problem.

This patient came in for plantar fasciitis… but the real issue? 👆
Limited ankle dorsiflexion (knee moving forward over the foot)

Now here’s the kicker—he’s heading to New Zealand 🇳🇿 for a month of hiking.

That combo doesn’t work.

Because hiking demands:
👉 Good ankle mobility for uphill climbs
👉 Control and shock absorption going downhill
👉 Stability on uneven terrain

When dorsiflexion is limited, the body compensates:
• Heel lifts early
• Increased stress through the plantar fascia
• More load on the foot, knee, and hip

➡️ That’s often a big driver of plantar fasciitis in the first place.

So instead of just chasing symptoms, we’re addressing the root:
✔️ Improve ankle mobility
✔️ Normalize movement patterns
✔️ Build strength for long hikes

Goal: get him through New Zealand pain-free and fully enjoying it.

If you’ve been dealing with plantar fasciitis and your ankle looks like this… you might be missing a key piece.

Rolled your ankle… rested… did a few exercises… and it still doesn’t feel right?

We see this all the time.

Most ankle sprains don’t fully heal because people:

Rest too long
Only do basic band exercises
Skip single-leg strength (this is the big one)

👉 This is exactly why ankles keep getting re-injured.

We just put together a quick blog breaking down what actually works (and what doesn’t):

Ankle sprains seem simple… until they keep coming back. We see this all the time at SRVPT—patients who “rolled their ankle” weeks or even months ago, rested, maybe did a few band exercises…...

Think of RockTape as your knee’s backup plan 😄

Not a full brace… but a pseudo knee sleeve that adds support, improves awareness, and helps you move with more confidence.

Still gotta do your exercises though 👀

One of the biggest barriers to exercise is thinking you need a full gym setup.

You don’t.

A TRX + a door =
✔ Strength training
✔ Core work
✔ Balance training

We use these all the time in the clinic because they’re adjustable for beginners but still challenging for athletes.

Have you ever tried

Does your knee hurt when going down stairs but feel fine walking on flat ground?

You’re not alone — it’s one of the most common knee complaints we see.

It’s often related to patellofemoral pain, quad weakness, or hip weakness, and the good news is it usually improves quickly with the right exercises.

We wrote a short blog explaining why it happens and 3 exercises that can help.

👉 Read it here:

If you feel knee pain when going down stairs , you’re not alone. This is one of the most common complaints we see in physical therapy. Many people notice their knee feels fine when walking on flat...

Lateral band walks look awkward… but weak hips cause a LOT of knee and back injuries. Strengthen the glute med and your back and knees will thank you.

That tight arch after running?

It’s not “just soreness.”

Your plantar fascia and intrinsic foot muscles absorb thousands of pounds of force every mile. If they stay stiff, it can lead to:

• Heel pain
• Achilles irritation
• Shin splints
• Knee pain

Try this:
Roll a ball under your arch for 1–2 minutes per side after your run.

Not aggressive. Not fast.
Slow and controlled.

Your feet are your foundation — treat them like it.
