For nearly 27 years, Erica Thomson has dedicated her career to serving the people of our region through the Durable Medical Equipment industry. Today, as the Chief Operating Officer of Commonwealth Home Health Care, Erica plays an essential role in helping ensure our team delivers the highest level of care and service to the patients and families we are privileged to serve.
But for Erica, it has never been just about the job. It has always been about people. 💙
Her own personal journey with cancer has given her a unique understanding of what it means to need someone in your corner. That experience strengthened her heart for service and fueled an unwavering commitment to supporting others and giving back to the community.
Erica is especially passionate about supporting local cancer initiatives, including the Danville-Pittsylvania County Cancer Association’s Colors of Cancer and Answer Fore Cancer Golf Tournament, helping raise both vital funds and awareness for local patients and families. 🎗️
Her commitment to making a difference even extends to her personal passions. Erica has participated in the Keli Wagner Lady Angler Tournament, a charity-focused billfish tournament for women that brings together competition, community, and philanthropy to support local cancer care. 🎣💗

At Commonwealth Home Health Care, we’re proud to have team members who make a difference not only in the lives of our patients, but throughout the communities they call home.

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Bill Darnell, Vice President of Brotherhood RC-Danville! 🏍️❤️

What started as a small group of friends with a shared love of motorcycles has grown into something much bigger. In just a few short months, Brotherhood RC-Danville has grown to more than 400 Facebook followers and, more importantly, has built a true sense of family and community.

For Bill and the Brotherhood RC-Danville family, riding is about much more than motorcycles. It’s about friendship, family, making memories, giving back, and lending a helping hand when someone needs it most.

One of the group’s most meaningful accomplishments was coming together to host a community benefit for their dear friend Helen Wyatt during her fight against cancer. 💙 Events like this demonstrate the heart behind Brotherhood and their commitment to supporting those around them.

From scenic rides and fellowship to community events and fundraisers, Bill and his fellow riders are showing that when people come together with a common purpose, they can make a lasting impact.

Today we're celebrating Wade Collins, Vice President of Operations for our sister company, Fire Safe, whose lifelong commitment to serving others has made an incredible impact throughout our community and across the nation.
Wade has dedicated countless hours to volunteer fire and rescue organizations, emergency medical services, community leadership, and developing national fire safety standards. His service includes leadership with the Virginia Association of Hazardous Materials Response Specialists, the Mount Hermon Volunteer Fire Department, the Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Riverview Rotary, Twin Springs Elementary PTO, West Main Baptist Church, and numerous other organizations committed to making our communities stronger and safer.
