LHC had the pleasure of having Madyson King intern with our Behavioral Health Team this past summer. This is a great example of cultivating our future healthcare leaders. Madyson shared these thoughts about her career path and what the internship meant to her.
"This internship was my last step toward completing my Bachelor of Social Work at UW-Whitewater, and I have now completed my undergraduate degree. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Social Work program at UW-Whitewater and will continue my education as I work toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
My internship at Lafayette Hospital + Clinics has helped me to better understand the social work field I am going into. I am extremely grateful for the support I received during my short time here. This experience allowed me to take what I have learned in the classroom and see how it is applied in real situations with clients. I learned so much from everyone I worked with, and they were always willing to answer my questions and provide support.
I would like to thank everyone I worked with for always treating me with kindness and making me feel so welcomed. I truly appreciate the support, guidance, and encouragement I received throughout my internship. I will carry what I learned during my time at LHC with me as I continue my education and begin my career in social work." -Madyson King
Thank you, Madyson, for brightening our day!
