Lincoln County Public Health encourages everyone to learn the facts about viral hepatitis and take steps to protect their liver health.

Many people living with hepatitis B or hepatitis C do not have symptoms, making early testing essential.

You can help prevent hepatitis by:
✔ Getting tested if you are at risk or have never been screened
✔ Receiving recommended hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccinations
✔ Practicing safe hygiene and avoiding exposure to infected blood
✔ Seeking medical care early (effective treatment is available for hepatitis B, and hepatitis C can often be cured)

Know your status. Protect your liver. Help stop hepatitis.

We're joining our partners at Davenport Good Neighbor Pharmacy in sharing this important heat safety reminder. As temperatures rise, knowing the signs of heat stroke can save a life. Stay hydrated, limit time in the heat when possible, and check on older adults, young children, and others who may be more vulnerable.

An important message from our partners at Lincoln Hospital and Clinics.

An important message from our partners at Lincoln Hospital and Clinics.

As we get older, some changes are expected but not every symptom is simply part of aging.

Persistent fatigue, changes in memory, shortness of breath, frequent falls, or unexplained weight loss are worth discussing with your healthcare provider.

Many health conditions can be treated or managed more effectively when they're identified early.

Regular checkups are an important part of staying healthy, maintaining independence, and enjoying the activities you love.

If you or a loved one have noticed new or ongoing health changes, schedule an appointment with one of our primary care providers. We're here to help you stay healthy at every stage of life.

Let's rise to the challenge! Our community is facing a critical shortage of type O blood, but together we can turn the tide. Every donation counts, and with your help, we can ensure our friends and neighbors receive the transfusions they need without delay.

By giving blood, you can make a lifetime of difference. Join one of Vitalant's upcoming blood drives and be part of the solution!
