✨ Speaker Spotlight: Tamara Ortiz ✨

We are honored to feature Tamara Ortiz, a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist and School Psychologist with over 20 years of experience helping children find their voice.

Tamara has extensive experience working with children with autism, apraxia of speech, and nonverbal communication needs, supporting them in developing meaningful and functional communication skills.

She is the founder of Growing Up Therapy, a pediatric clinic providing speech and occupational therapy services. Alongside her sister, Jessica Cornier, who is also a Speech-Language Pathologist, she has created a supportive, family-centered environment focused on empowering both children and their families.

💬 As both a clinician and a mother of two, Tamara brings not only professional expertise but also compassion and real-life understanding to her work.

🎤 In her presentation, she will share valuable insights on speech and language milestones, along with practical, effective strategies families can use at home to support and stimulate communication in children with autism.

Speaker Spotlight: Isabela Martinez ✨

We are excited to feature Isabela Martinez, a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist dedicated to helping individuals reach their full communication potential.

Isabela earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida and is licensed in the state of Florida, as well as certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.

With experience working across a wide range of communication needs, Isabela has supported individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation challenges, and phonological disorders.

💬 Her clinical focus includes augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), articulation, phonological disorders, and reading and writing difficulties. She is also the owner of Brightside Therapy and oversees the Winter Haven office.

💙 Isabela is passionate about empowering families and helping individuals build meaningful communication skills that improve their quality of life.

🌿 In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies and shows, and being outdoors.

✨ Speaker Spotlight: Vanessa Vargas ✨

We are proud to feature Vanessa Vargas, an international Occupational Therapist from Venezuela with over 10 years of experience supporting children with neurodevelopmental needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder.

Vanessa holds a degree in Occupational Therapy from the Central University of Venezuela and is certified in Sensory Integration. She brings a strong multidisciplinary approach, working collaboratively with therapy teams to create individualized, effective interventions.

She is the founder of the Integral Therapeutic Center (CETI) and a member of AVIS (Venezuelan Association of Sensory Integration). Her experience spans clinics, schools, and community settings, where she has served as an Occupational Therapist, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist (ITDS).

💡 Vanessa is passionate about empowering families, educators, and professionals through practical strategies, sensory-based interventions, and hands-on training that improve children’s learning, behavior, and overall quality of life.

We are honored to feature Carrie Freimuth, Ph.D., BCBA-D, as one of our guest speakers at our upcoming community event!

With over 25 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Dr. Freimuth has supported individuals with disabilities across homes, schools, clinics, hospitals, and residential settings. She earned her doctorate from the University of Florida and previously taught ABA for 8 years at California State University, Stanislaus. She is also a published author in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis.

🎤 Presentation Topic:
The Importance of Caregivers in ABA

In this session, caregivers will learn practical, evidence-based strategies they can use to support their children and increase meaningful outcomes at home and in the community.

We’re excited to spotlight Viviana Razuri, a featured speaker for our Autism Awareness event.

Viviana is a healthcare manager, bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), and Chief Executive Officer of Milestones Children’s Therapy Center. With over 13 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to supporting children with developmental needs and empowering families through education and collaboration.

Viviana strongly believes that parents and caregivers are essential partners in every child’s development. She emphasizes that meaningful progress happens when families are actively involved in the therapeutic process. In her words, “Parent education is just as important as the services we provide to our children.”

🎤 Her presentation, “Elevating Functional Communication in the Natural Environment,” will focus on practical, real-life strategies to support communication skills within everyday routines. Attendees can expect actionable tools, caregiver-friendly techniques, and valuable insights to help children generalize communication skills across settings.

Through her leadership and hands-on clinical experience, Viviana continues to bring together families and professionals to improve outcomes and support each child’s developmental journey.
