Tick Bites: What You Need to Know & When to Seek Care

Tick bites are more than just a nuisance – they can carry serious infections like Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. It’s important to know the signs and when to get professional care.

What to do if you find a tick:
✅ Remove the tick promptly with fine-tipped tweezers, pulling straight out.
✅ Clean the bite area with soap and water.
✅ Watch for symptoms: rash, fever, fatigue, or joint pain.

When to visit Amana Care Clinic:

If the tick is embedded and you need help removing it safely.

If part of the tick remains in the skin after removal.

If you develop symptoms of infection (redness, swelling, drainage, or flu-like symptoms).
