The Davenport Lutheran Home is a long term care facility specializing in all areas of elderly care. We provide respite, intermediate, and skilled care services. We have a Special Care Unit for dementia services, as well as Assisted Living Apartments and Independent Town Homes; so our residents can move throughout our continuum of care as their needs change.

Today our team came together for our Skilled Fair, and what a great opportunity to learn, grow, and strengthen the skills we use every day!

From hands-on learning to fun activities and meaningful conversations, our staff had the chance to refresh their knowledge, learn something new, and connect with one another along the way.

In healthcare, there is always something new to learn—and when we continue learning, our residents are the ones who benefit most. ❤️

The music was playing, the smiles were BIG, and our residents were ready to dance! ❤️🎶

We enjoyed some wonderful live music today, and before long, we had everyone up and moving. And of course… we had to bring out a balloon to really get the party going! 🎈😂

From dancing and singing along to laughing with friends, today was full of joy, energy, and memories being made. 🥰

There’s just something magical about music—it brings everyone together and reminds us that you’re never too old to have a little fun and dance like nobody’s watching! ❤️🎶💃

Our Townhome residents came over to our facility today for a wonderful cookout, and what a fun day it was! ❤️🍔🌭

We enjoyed delicious food, great conversation, lots of laughter, and plenty of smiles. 🥰 And we had an extra special reason to celebrate as we gathered together to celebrate one of our Townhome residents on their birthday! 🎂🎈

There’s nothing quite like bringing our community together and simply enjoying time with one another. ❤️

✨🎪 What a fun-filled day at Davenport Lutheran Home! 🎪✨

We started our morning with some wonderful volunteers who came out to spend time with our residents and play a few rounds of Old as Dirt! ❤️ There was plenty of laughter, stories, and good old-fashioned fun around the tables.

After our morning fun, it was time to put the finishing touches on our decorations as we get ready for Carnival Week! 🎪🎈 We are getting everything ready for a week full of fun, memories, and plenty of smiles!

And then… we ended the day with a little MAGIC! 🎩✨ Our residents enjoyed an amazing magic show filled with laughter, surprises, and lots of “How did they do that?!” moments. 🪄

From games and fellowship to decorating and a little magic, today was a perfect reminder that the best days are the ones filled with people, laughter, and memories. ❤️

A huge thank-you to our volunteers for spending your morning with us and to everyone who helped make today such a special one!

Our chapel is looking better than ever with our beautiful new chairs! What better way to enjoy the refreshed space than with a wonderful music recital? 🎶❤️

It was such a joy to see our residents gathered together, enjoying beautiful music and fellowship in a space that holds so much meaning for our community.

Today was all about sweet treats, big smiles, and even sweeter memories! Our residents enjoyed building—and of course EATING—delicious banana splits loaded with all their favorite toppings. 😋

In Memory Care, our residents rolled up their sleeves and got creative in the kitchen! From spreading the sauce to choosing their favorite toppings, everyone got to make their pizza just the way they liked it. ❤️

But the best part wasn’t just the pizza—it was the smiles, the conversations, the laughter, and the memories that came along with it. There’s something special about gathering around a table, sharing stories, making a little mess, and enjoying something you created together.

Today was a reminder that sometimes the simplest activities can create the sweetest moments. 🍕😊

We were honored to welcome the Silver Lining Bell Choir to Davenport Lutheran Living Communities for a beautiful handbell performance. Their music brought smiles, stirred cherished memories, and filled our halls with warmth and happiness.
We are so grateful for community groups like the Silver Lining Bell Choir who generously share their time and talents with our residents. Experiences like these remind us that music has a special way of bringing people together and lifting the spirit.

🚌❤️ The wheels on the bus are rolling in… with kindness! ❤️🚌

Our homemade school bus is parked and ready to be filled with hope for local students! From July 27 through August 17, we’re collecting school supply donations to help students at Trinity Lutheran School and Harrison School start the year prepared and confident.

Every notebook, backpack, pack of crayons, folder, and pencil helps a child begin the school year with a smile.

📚 Help us fill this bus, one donation at a time, and let’s show our community that when we come together, amazing things happen! 💛
