Neurologists are prescribing seizure medications for neuropathy patients who don't have seizures.

Here's what 24 million Americans need to understand about gabapentin.

These aren't neuropathy medications, because there's no such thing as an FDA-approved neuropathy medication in conventional medicine.

Let that sink in.

There is no medication specifically designed to repair or regenerate damaged nerves. None.

So, what does the system do? They default to symptom management.

Gabapentin, Lyrica, and Neurontin work by dampening electrical activity in your central nervous system so you don't feel the burning, tingling, and numbness as intensely.

They don't address why your nerves are damaged.
They don't improve circulation.
They don't stimulate repair.

They just turn down the volume on your brain's pain alarm system. That's it.

When you're not healing, you're numbing. There's a massive difference.

Your nerves are crying out for oxygen, nutrients, and proper circulation, not chemical suppression.

Your nerves can heal. Comment HEALTH to learn how

Your neurologist just prescribed you a seizure medication for your neuropathy. You don't have seizures, so why are you taking it?

Here's the brutal truth about gabapentin, Lyrica, and Neurontin that 24 million Americans need to hear.

These aren't neuropathy medications, because there's no such thing as a neuropathy medication in conventional medicine.

There is no FDA-approved medication specifically designed to repair or regenerate damaged nerves. None.

So conventional medicine defaults to symptom management. These drugs are prescribed off-label to slow down your nervous system so you don't feel the burning, tingling, and numbness as intensely.

They work by dampening electrical activity in your central nervous system. They don't address why your nerves are damaged. They don't improve circulation. They don't stimulate repair.

They just turn down the volume on your brain's pain alarm system. That's it.

Teaching Tai Chi to other seniors at her age. More energy. Better movement. Actual confidence in her body again.

This is what's possible when you address root causes instead of chasing symptoms.

She's not just feeling better, she's helping others feel better too.

That's the difference between a life that's shrinking and a life that's expanding.

"Surgery is your only option" - here's why that's not true for most back pain sufferers.

You might be thinking, "But I've tried everything" or "Isn't surgery my only option?"

It's completely natural to feel skeptical, especially if you've been dealing with back pain or disc problems for a long time. I hear this from patients every day.

They've been told by multiple doctors that surgery is inevitable.

But here's the difference with spinal decompression:

This isn't just another pain treatment. It's a comprehensive approach that treats the structural cause of pain by relieving pressure on your spine and restoring hydration to your discs.

While other treatments mask symptoms, spinal decompression helps your body heal from within.

No invasive procedures. No dependence on medication. No lengthy recovery periods.

Just gentle, advanced technology that creates the conditions your spine needs to heal naturally.

I've helped hundreds of patients avoid surgery through non-invasive spinal treatment. Patients who were scheduled for surgery are now back to their active lives.

The key is addressing the root cause - compressed, dehydrated discs - instead of just managing symptoms.

A wound that wouldn't heal for over a year.

Doctors did what they knew to do. Wound center visits. Dressings. Waiting.

Nearly twelve months of managing a problem that kept getting worse.

Here's what nobody told her: the body was ready to heal. It just needed three things working together, not one at a time.

Oxygen therapy to flood the tissue with what it was starving for.
Laser therapy to kickstart cellular repair.
Targeted nutrition to give the body the raw materials it needed.

When we addressed all three simultaneously, the wound finally closed.

But that's not the end of the story.

Her nerves started rebuilding. Her energy came back. And now? She's teaching Tai Chi to seniors in her community.

This isn't a miracle. This is what happens when you stop managing symptoms and start treating root causes.

Recovery doesn't have an expiration date. The system just never gave you the right tools.

Don't let back pain or discopathy control your life any longer. Take that first step towards healing and reclaim the life you deserve.

You've already tried the pills. The injections. The "wait and see."

Maybe it's time to try something that actually addresses why you're in pain.

Your grandkids are waiting. Your life is waiting.

Let's talk about this word "idiopathic." It sounds official and medical, right?

Here's what it actually means: "We don't know the cause."

That's it. That's the whole definition.

Think about that for a second. If your doctor doesn't know the cause, how can they possibly treat it effectively?

How can they stop progression if they don't know what's driving it?

But here's what frustrates me as a regenerative medicine specialist:

Most "idiopathic" cases have identifiable root causes when you look deeper.

→ Metabolic dysfunction
→ Chronic inflammation
→ Poor circulation
→ Toxin exposures
→ Nutrient deficiencies
→ Structural compression

These don't show up on standard neurology tests, but they're there.

And when you address them systematically, neuropathy improves.

The patients who see the best results are often the ones labeled "idiopathic." Because once we identify and treat the actual root causes, their bodies can finally heal.

One patient came to me after being told her burning feet were "idiopathic" and "permanent."

We found chronic inflammation, poor circulation, and spinal compression affecting nerve function.

Twelve weeks into our regenerative protocol, she was walking pain-free for the first time in years.

Not because we found a better pill. Because we finally addressed why her nerves were damaged in the first place.

If your diagnosis is "idiopathic neuropathy," your doctor just told you they have no idea what's causing your pain.

And that's why you're stuck.

Let's talk about this word idiopathic. It sounds official, right? Here's what it actually means. Idiopathic literally means "we don't know the cause." That's it.

Think about that. If your doctor doesn't know the cause, how can they possibly treat it effectively? How can they stop progression if they don't know what's driving it?

But here's what frustrates me. Most idiopathic cases have identifiable root causes when you look deeper. Metabolic dysfunction. Chronic inflammation. Poor circulation. Toxin exposures. Nutrient deficiencies.

Our patients frequently tell us that they wish they'd discovered this sooner.

Years spent on medications that made them foggy. Thousands on injections that wore off in two weeks. Being told to "just live with it."

Then they find out their condition wasn't permanent after all.

The only thing permanent was the old approach that kept failing them

Gabapentin is probably the most commonly prescribed medication for neuropathy. But here's what nobody explains:

Gabapentin doesn't heal nerve damage.
It doesn't stop progression.
It doesn't address root causes.

What it does is dull the pain signal, so you feel it less. And often not even that effectively.

Meanwhile, you get dizziness, fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, and potential dependency.

Doctors know about these side effects. But it's the only tool in their conventional toolbox.

Here's the real problem: While you're on gabapentin masking symptoms, the underlying nerve damage is often still progressing.

You're numbing yourself to the pain while the condition gets worse underneath.

That's not a treatment. That's symptom management. And there's a huge difference.

After my own health crisis where I nearly died from complications of diverticulitis, I learned firsthand how the body can heal when you give it the right environment.

I used regenerative therapies to heal completely. The same principles work for neuropathy patients:

Instead of masking symptoms, we address why the nerves are damaged:
→ Chronic inflammation attacking nerve tissue
→ Poor circulation preventing healing
→ Structural compression blocking function

When you fix these root causes simultaneously, patients often reduce or eliminate medications while actually getting better.

Gabapentin isn't a treatment for neuropathy.

It's a surrender flag doctors wave when they don't know what else to do.

Gabapentin is probably the most commonly prescribed medication for neuropathy. But here's what nobody explains when they hand you that prescription.

Gabapentin doesn't heal nerve damage. It doesn't stop progression. It doesn't address root causes.

Abundant Health Physical Medicine

As a team at Abundant Health Physical Medicine, it is our goal to help practice members and their families achieve their God given health potential. It is our desire to equip our community with better health strategies through completely natural, drug-free health care that allows the body to heal itself. Taking a multi-disciplinary approach, we combine chiropractic care along with regenerative medicine which yields the term Physical Medicine. Through specific chiropractic adjustments nerve interference is removed, creating healthy cell metabolism, proper organ function, and restoring mental and physical well-being. Regenerative medicine focuses on the regeneration of tissue in the body. Rather than having to take anti-inflammatories, cortisone injections or steroids, which carry risky side effects, you can forego the prescription in favor of less invasive methods. According to research, that means more energy, better movement, and a stronger immune system! More and more families are choosing a physical medicine approach because nobody is ever too young or too old to obtain a life of optimal health.
