This unique position will split time between both organizations, helping connect individuals to behavioral health resources, providing peer support, conducting community outreach, and strengthening recovery services throughout the Quad Cities.

We're proud to partner with The Center, where Vera French co-locates Community-Based Therapy services. The Center is a vital resource for our community, and they're currently facing a critical need to replace failing air conditioning units during this extreme heat.

The Center serves as a cooling center and safe haven for our community during extreme heat, but today the temperature inside our thrift store reached 97 degrees. We currently have 14 air conditioning units, many of which were already nearing the end of their lifespan. To make matters worse, five units were recently vandalized and stripped of their copper, leaving us facing a serious cooling crisis during one of the hottest times of the year.

Your support will help us continue providing a safe, welcoming space for those who rely on us for meals, resources, peer support, and relief from the heat.

A court-ordered treatment program aimed at breaking the cycle of repeated mental health crises, hospitalizations, homelessness, and incarceration is under consideration in Scott County.

We're proud to be part of the community conversation about Assisted Outpatient Therapy (AOT) and the opportunities it creates to connect individuals with serious mental illness to the care and support they need.
