Another QCDC baby to welcome to the world - June!

“I thought from the very beginning, both Tess and Rachel were very helpful and informative. I felt connected with both of them and both of them had different experiences to offer. They were flexible with appointments and on time. When it got closer to my birth due date, they were checking in often and letting me know they were there for me - offering suggestions to help resolve any issues. During my actual birth, Rachel responded to my text and asked if I wanted her to head my way. I asked her to wait a bit. When I asked her to come, she made her way to me and was there within an hour. She helped me finish my birth space by hanging some twinkle lights, provided me with a fan, suggested different positions to try with a calm and quiet voice.”

“When it came time to birth my baby, she was there by my side willing to catch my baby. With the assistance of Midwife Sarah, she helped me deliver. After we got to my bed, she refilled my water and offered me a snack. She made sure I was warm and comfortable. Later that week, she came back to check on me and she made me a wonderful snack.”

“Sherri and Amanda were absolutely PHENOMENAL. I am so thankful I had both of their support during my pregnancy journey to answer questions, process my previous birth experience, and cultivate my upcoming birth plan. They were both quick to respond to my questions and give resources. I truly feel that nothing could’ve gone better. It was seriously perfect. Sherri was absolutely incredible to have at our birth. She helped my husband support me through my contractions and brought me cold towels to cool me down! She reminded me that I was strong and I could do this while also affirming that yes this is hard!”

“My goal was to have an unmedicated birth this time. Sherri instilled confidence in me and my husband when I needed it most through my labor and delivery. Prenatal babyfeeding is a three hour comprehensive class that brings together everything you need to feel confident with both breastfeeding and pumping!

What you’ll learn — benefits of breastmilk, importance of the first hour, early feeding cues, positioning and latch, common myths vs facts, and what to expect in the early days.

You’ll also get hands-on guidance for pumping and bottlefeeding success, such as pump set up and parts, creating a schedule, fl**ge, sizing, milk, storage and stash building, maintaining supply, and troubleshooting common challenges.

Quad Cities Mamas, it’s time to mingle! Join us for a special Mama Mingle event featuring Quad City Babywearing ☀️

🗓️ Friday August 7 at 10am
📍 Meier Park, Bettendorf, Iowa

As usual, it’s a monthly gathering designed to bring together both pregnant and postpartum moms to connect, build community, and support one another through the journey of motherhood.

At this Mama Mingle, the Quad City Babywearers will be at the pavilion to answer questions and let you try on carriers/wraps. The kids can play while you are free to chat with fellow moms, the babywearers, or our on-site doula(s).

Come get some fresh air, meet people in the same stages of life as you, and enjoy a coffee on us ☀️☕️

“My experience with Tess and Rachel was amazing! I am so grateful for these ladies, they both are incredible humans. When I started reaching out more frequently in the third trimester with baby position issues, they both had great feedback. Since Tess is also a PT, she was quick to offer her time with movement and PT treatment. She fit me into her booked schedule right away and was flexible with bringing my other kids or working around nap time.”

“Tess was also amazing during my labor, birth, and early postpartum. She came right when we called her at 2 AM even though she could’ve waited a few hours because she ended up sleeping on our couch (with my sweater as a blanket!) She helped us make decisions, kept me moving, did the best hip squeezes, and was really my rock - next to my hubby!”

“A few days after my son was born, I was struggling mentally and I needed a friend/Doula/PT/fellow momma, to help me process my labor and birth. She came over a few hours after I texted her, even though I asked if we could talk at our next scheduled appointment. She truly helped me feel seen, heard, and not alone. “My overall experience was 100/10! I wouldn’t have had as much of an enjoyable experience with birth without Tess and Kenzie. I have only positives from my birth experience. The both of them were very knowledgeable and were able to help me create my perfect birth plan. Always made a point to check in on me and how I was doing. I know if I needed anything they would be there to help. The communication was always great with my doulas - I know if I message one of them I would get a response in a timely manner.”
