Congratulations to our Quarterly Dignity in Action Award Winner Dani Romshek!
"Dani approaches every resident with genuine compassion, kindness, and respect. She sees the person behind the diagnosis and is committed to helping each individual maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. Whether she’s celebrating a resident’s smallest milestone or helping them achieve goals, they never thought possible; she ensures every person feels heard, valued, and cared for.
One of the qualities that makes her so exceptional is her unwavering “yes, I can” attitude. No challenge is too great; no task is beneath her, and no opportunity to help is ever overlooked. She consistently looks for solutions instead of obstacles and always puts the needs of our residents first.
Dani's dedication doesn’t stop with occupational therapy. She is always willing to lend a helping hand—whether that’s assisting a CNA during a busy moment, supporting our nursing staff, helping transport a resident, or taking the time to walk a visitor to a loved one’s room. She steps in wherever she is needed, even when the task isn’t part of her job. She understands that providing exceptional care is a team effort, and she leads by example every single day.
Her positivity, humility, and servant’s heart have earned the respect of everyone around her. She is the kind of teammate every department hopes to have. Someone who is dependable, selfless, and always willing to go above and beyond for both her coworkers and our residents."
Thank you, Dani, for your dedication to bring "Dignity in Life" to our residents of Brookestone of David City!
