Cait Klein Healing

Cait Klein Healing We provide counseling, consulting, yoga therapy and support to women and individuals, helping them to have empowering experiences in their bodies!

I have found yoga therapy and hypnotherapy to be a powerful ways to achieve empowerment through embodiment. All of my healing sessions are steeped in accessible therapeutic language in order to address specific physical/mental ailments, while we work together to break down entrenched mental/emotional boundaries. By considering the entirety of mind, body, and spirit, I seek to address healing in a

comprehensive, holistic, and lasting way, rather than simply providing a band-aid on certain symptoms. Through the use of several alternative modalities, including hypnosis, therapeutic yoga, art, journaling, reiki, experiential therapy, and intuitive healing, I help my clients to reclaim, reconnect to, and relearn to love and embrace themselves in mind, body and soul. “Every midwife knows that not until a mother’s womb softens from the pain of labor will a way unfold and the infant find that opening to be born.”

Recently I have seen the sentiment circulating online that there are only women and their children living on this planet. It’s true. All of us came from a woman’s womb. And it’s a paradox. Birth is essential and universal, while also miraculous and individual. No two stories of a mother and child are the same. Here is my side of our story.

Ten months of full moons had come and gone, each one I had grown more and more round, just like a luna llena. And now it was time to open for her to cross the threshold into earth side existence. At 41 weeks and one day, I downed a spoonful of castor oil after breakfast and several hours later, midway through Bridesmaids, shortly after their own bathroom scene, the castor oil kicked in and labor was on. The contractions came in fierce intense waves.

Every 5 minutes, throwing up everything in me. All. Night. Long. I had intense back labor, only the warm water could touch it. My partner, steadfast alongside me, would gently grab my face, asking me to open my eyes, “Baby, are you ok?” “I’m in the zone.” I was in a hypnotic trance, calming yoga music, breath, and my body, wave after wave. Our midwives arrived in the evening and held vigil, while my body rhythmically opened.

The sun rose bright over the mountains, a sea of pink in the sky, flooding our bedroom with light. One of our providers suggested it was time to change up the music and shift the energy. The slow, rhythmic yoga music that had rocked me through the night needed to adjust to a pulse that could support pushing. We used Spotify shuffle to search for drums and rhythm, and the first words of a random song, without ever having heard this song before, was the name we had already given our daughter. It felt miraculous, like the universe was calling her earthside, her name echoing through the room with the rhythm of the drums.

My full birth story is up on the blog. Link in bio! Or head to my website at caitklein.com.

“What used to be a pain is a lovely bench where we rest under the roses.” Rumi

These past few weeks of celebrating my birthday and my daughter’s have left my heart drenched with love and appreciation. Looking back at pictures of our birth experience while watching my toddler wander the house feels like a time warp.

It all goes so fast, and I am so incredibly grateful for every precious moment. This photo is from the women who gathered for our blessing way, and now she is earth side, shrieking with delight at the horses and dogs, discovering the world. Her pregnancy and birth taught me to trust my instincts. When I gave birth a part of me transmuted, giving way to a strength, a stamina, a certainty that I never had before touched. It was the birth of a mother—no longer willing to abandon myself, or to follow blind indoctrination to the rules of others, instead dancing only to the rhythm of my own spirit’s pulse.

There is a Hindu story of a mother gazing into the mouth of her son, Govinda, only to see the entire expansion of the universe. Overwhelmed, she is graced with a veil over her eyes again to only see what she can handle, his human form. The first gaze into my daughter’s eyes felt like that— everything, everywhere, all at once making sense in an instant. It has been, and continues to be, the greatest gift of my life.

Over a year later, I’m still breastfeeding, cosleeping and soaking in this season. It has required unwinding an anxiety-driven impulse to optimize everything, or attempt to control. Moving to a new country, learning a new language, becoming a mother has taught me to slow down, surrender, soften and trust. The process is the point.

Since burning in the fire of motherhood and rising through it, I have a profound reverence for all women and the holiness of mothercraft. I’ve felt called to this path for years, supporting women as a doula over a decade ago, but living it has revealed depths I could not have imagined. Women hold so much. They have vast capacity for paradox, pain, intensity, tenderness and a Love that feels like the closest thing to the Divine.

Women are extraordinary.

And I have the privilege of raising one.

“Birds make great sky circles of their freedom. How do they learn it? They fall, and falling, they’re given wings.”

Nothing compares to the joy I feel when I walk into a room and my baby’s eyes light up as she exclaims, “Mama.” It is the most sacred name I have ever been called.

Becoming a mother has shown me just how deeply I needed my own. New understanding towards my mom emerged for me on the other side of motherhood. I came to understand her needs, her exhaustion, her longing—things I could never have known in my maiden years.

So this Mother’s Day, I send warm blessings for all mothers. May the love that pours so freely outward be reflected back to them.

For the new moms—exhausted, finding themselves in the fire of truth and integrity within systems that try to distract and obscure—may you find moments of deep, restorative rest in your own knowing.

For the mothers-to-be trying to conceive, may peace, clarity, and gentle answers meet you in the waiting.

For the mothers standing vigil in the NICU, waiting for their babies to come home while their own bodies recover, may courage, stamina, and grace envelop you.

For the moms who have lost children, may they be gifted in their sleep dreams of the warmth of reunion with their beloved.

For the mothers who have lost their own mothers, may you be wrapped in memory, love, and tenderness.

For the mothers whose own mothers cannot or will not show up in the ways they need, may you be blessed with women and community who help fill the gaps.

And for the wild, free women who hold all of life and everything else—may we be held by Mother Nature, know our power, love fiercely, and stay soft, even in the face of the world’s deepest wounds.

“Have patience. Patience is the key to all relief.”

Life is full at the moment. I am here holding my sleeping baby, praying and wishing for more peace in the world.

Between the infinite cycle of laundry, dishes, working, cooking and nursing a velcro baby, I feel like I am treading water most days while also feeling immensely grateful for this season of motherhood. Straddling opposites and holding paradoxes constantly, I love every moment together and miss my alone time too.

Recently for the first time in almost 8 months, I made the time to step back into two of my hobbies, working with a green horse and getting back to tango lessons. My shoulders have started to curl in forward from the cocoon of motherhood. Getting back into my hobbies required lifting, expanding up against the edges of my physical and mental holding patterns. When we move in familiar circuits, the body holds it, becoming ever more efficient and ever more calcified. Getting out of our comfort zone, pushing, expanding beyond that restricted space, helps keep us limber and open.

In these days of nestling around our daughter, stepping back into horsemanship and tango pushed against my edges. By seeking to understand a new dance partner and a new horse, I can know and understand myself more deeply. Integrating these other parts back into my present incarnation of motherhood helps me root back into wholeness again.

Exploring the dynamics of tango and horsemanship both humbly mirrored back my old familiar patterns: rushing to take the step, trying to get to the end, prioritizing product over process, trying to be “good,” instead of celebrating a moment of connection, jumping to the next “task.” Stepping back into old parts of myself, with new teachers and this new body, I am rediscovering old landscapes of my soul through hobbies and making space for all the messy parts that as humans connect us and give depth to our experience. Playing, dancing, reflecting and cultivating peace with what is. Trying new things/ revisiting old things helps with patience when time feels elusive.

We are all here, doing the best we can, between loads of laundry, trying to care for the people we love.

“Be ground, be crumbled so wildflowers will come up where you are.”

Birth was the experience of a lifetime for me last year. I was adamant about having a home birth and determined not to go to the hospital, in a country new to me, where I don’t fully grasp the language.

I was so vocal about my intent that I wouldn’t let the word “fear” even cross the threshold of my lips. But there came a moment just before I was ready to push that one of our midwives asked me, “is there anything else you haven’t said yet that you need to say.”

“I’m scared I can’t do it.”

“Now you’re ready to push,” she told me. It took admitting my fear to give myself fully over to the experience, rather than sheer will power, clinging fiercely to my intention. Expressing fear doesn’t mean you manifest it into creation, it means embodying authentic emotion and expression of truth. I had to be ready to die to totally give myself over to the experience to open to new life. The gift of surrender strikes again.

I didn’t push this new life out, not only our beautiful daughter, but living in Argentina with my partner in a totally different hemisphere. No it wasn’t pushing that got me here, it was letting go of the grasp and yielding completely. I let the river of life carry me into this new adventure and into motherhood and I’m utterly enchanted. It is a dream come true, a dream written so deep on my soul that I never knew the words to write it.

So even though most years I’m here offering new years manifesting meditations and vision board circles, this past year of becoming gifted me a quieter message. It doesn’t take sheer willpower and determination to get there, wherever there is for you.

Surrender and listen because the thing the universe has in store for you may be so much better than what you are pushing to manifest. It might require a hard bumpy grief laced road, but the vista at the peak is worth it. Motherhood is simultaneously hardest and best thing that I’ve experienced in this lifetime thus far.

I hope to see 2026 through the eyes of a child, full of wonder, full of grace and trusting something bigger to carry me. Happy dancing through 2026!

“This is love, to fly towards a secret sky…. Heart, I said, what a gift it has been to enter this circle of lovers, to see beyond seeing itself, to reach and feel within the breast.”

As the sweet cocoon of my maternity leave draws to a close, I’m reflecting on the changes of the past three months. Holding this growing girl in my arms, her sweet fingers grasping at my shirt, soft warm breaths against my arm, catching every sunrise and sunset…these are the moments I will treasure and miss as she continues to grow.

Some part of me dissolved into the collective of women who are called Mama. And as I emerge from this cocoon, I spread my wings not only with the new name of mama, but with a return home to my maiden name. My new old email is [email protected] and my website CaitKlein.com. You will still be able to reach me at [email protected] but will be hearing back from me with the new email address. It’s a home coming of sorts. Motherhood feels like resting in my truest essence, in total congruence. Yes, I have spit up all over me, a knot in my hair and I’m bags under my eyes. But this feels wild and free and true.

This been the least structured time of my life since childhood. Showered or totally stank with sweat and spit up, our daughter loves being with us, snuggling and nursing, which is a beautiful lesson of love’s great acceptance. It is a privilege to be someone’s everything and to be a safe space to support her growing nervous system.

Life looks radically different than a year ago, but some things remain the same: my awe for the sunsets over these mountains, my zest for life, and the honor of getting to bear witness to radical transformation in my clients.

With every joy of discovery and new development in our daughter, comes a grief and a release of the weeks and months prior. Growth is always lined with grief. Now as I ease back into working a bit each week, I can anticipate the longing already to have her in my arms. We will still be catching every sunrise and every sunset together, baby girl latched to my breast, in this unfolding year of becoming.

“There are ways of being born twice, of coming to where you fly not individually like birds, but as the sun moves with its bride, sincerity.”

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes yesterday and for all those who have been in touch the past few weeks, reaching out to check in on us and our baby! Earlier this month the best birthday gift in the world arrived, our daughter. We have been busy soaking up the sunrises and sunsets, the late night feedings, all of the sweet snuggles with little fingers and toes. She arrived at home after an intense 20 hours of labor—the hardest, best thing I have ever done in my life. She transitioned from the womb earthside with a quiet peace that has lingered throughout our home as we adjust to a new rhythm with her.

This has been the best birthday of my life with our little family, a rebirth of myself with the unfolding of motherhood. My birthday always arrives around the solstice. Usually I’m stateside where long summer days are full of light, but now I’m in my new home in the southern hemisphere where nights are long and cozy with our newborn. It reminds me of the deep connection of light and dark. The hardest most intense sensations brought forth the best gift of life for me.

A few years ago on my birthday I never could have imagined the flow of life and how I could end up here further down the river of time. So much has changed and transformed in such a short amount of time. The more we embrace the mystery of it all, the more we are willing to let go, the more space there is for life to take hold. I let go of a dysfunctional marriage, put my house up for rent, moved 5000 miles away to a place where love sprouted growth for me. I started eating meat after over a decade of vegetarianism, learned to drive stick shift and am still learning Spanish. Like labor, the change was hard, intense, I had little control or guarantee how it would all work out, and yet it has blossomed into a reality that is even sweeter than anything I ever dreamed for myself.

Our little family is seeping into this season full of love, gratitude, presence and peace. We are embracing the transformation and looking forward to changes to come.

“The great blessing, is that Shams has poured a strength into the ground that allows us to wait and to trust the waiting.”

The Tao Te Ching says, “Nothing in nature rushes, yet everything is accomplished.” I remember working in the birth world as a doula and the pressure my clients could feel to have birthed by a certain date. It is the same with therapy, often people rushing to have a certain life change by a certain timeline. It fits with the culture we live in, attempting to manage and control as much of the unknown away as we can. In these fast-paced times, we can find ourselves caught in a current of prioritizing the product/control, versus the process of unfolding in many aspects of life, not just birth. There is mystery in the process. We don’t always get to see what is coming around the bend in the river of life and it can be hard to sit still with the unknown.

We are taking our time, delightfully waiting for our daughter to spontaneously initiate her arrival. These days have been a sweet surrender to instinct and knowing, allowing curiosity and wonder to flow abundantly, and working to stay present to the beautiful mystery of it all. Thresholds of transition can happen quickly or slowly, but the portal is a process, a blooming like all change in our lives. Even the changes that come on suddenly, taking us by surprise, seep into our bones and souls slowly. With tender patience we await the symphony of sensation that will usher in transformation. Like all becoming in our lives, like all change, there is a slow, steady current that need not be rushed.

Under the quiet wake of the New Moon, I am taking it slow and opening to the intention of unfolding, in perfect timing. If you haven’t already, it’s a beautiful time to set some intentions in the fertile soil of a New Moon, to claim your own unique pacing and to let any mystery brewing in your life have the space it needs to unfold before your eyes.

“My mother was destiny. My father, grace.”

I have felt the mother archetype in me for years, tending to friends, clients, my dogs and loved ones. And I feel immensely thankful for the little soul, floating in my belly, offering me the gift of experiencing the embodiment of motherhood in this moment. As we settle into our first Mother’s Day together, the following was on my heart:

May we all remember the cord of connection that once linked us tangibly to something bigger than ourselves, cocooned in the womb of a loving presence of Mother Nature.

May a universal placenta nourish us all, gracing us with what we need, before we have the words to ask for it.

May we sense into a remembrance of when our heartbeat was held in the same container as another, and know we are all One.

May we honor our instincts and animal knowing, beyond the logic, reason, and infinite searching beyond ourselves for answers.

May we each know the gift of receiving a mother’s love, and the gift of sharing that in small and tender ways towards ourselves, plants, animals, friends or children.

May my uterus be strong as the ocean waves, lulled by the moon, softly guiding our baby to the earthside shore.

May we have the courage to embrace the contractions that bring new life ahead, individually and collectively.
