Not everyone has the ability to do in person therapy, but if you can, please do. Nothing can replace the intimacy and authenticity of 3D psychotherapy. Even if you can’t do it regularly, make it a point to integrate it into your therapy work.

The brain is constructed to anticipate. It’s a survival adaptation. Being able to foresee events and outcomes is how pimative humans were able to survive. But what happens when we live in a civilized world where anticipation and prediction is not as important to our survival? The brain keeps looking for danger and threats. We worry about our future, but when asked specifically what we worry about, usually we cannot share a well vivid scenario. It is just our brain’s way of doing what it is built to do. Challenging faulty fears about the future is extremely important. It is arguably the most important human habit to break. But with practice and persistence, we can break the patterns of obsessional worry and lead a more fulfilling daily life.
