Protecting access to healthcare in rural Florida starts with making sure those communities are heard.

Today, SurfMed met with Florida lieutenant governor candidate Bryan Avila in Moore Haven to discuss funding for healthcare services that rural Medicaid participants depend on.
Our conversation highlighted the challenges of accessing medical equipment and supplies, home health services, physicians, and hospitals in underserved areas—and the importance of supporting the providers working to meet those needs.

As healthcare resources face increasing pressure, rural communities must remain part of the funding conversation.

We appreciate Mr. Avila’s willingness to hear these concerns and discuss the needs of local providers and the people they serve. SurfMed remains committed to advocating for reliable access to essential care across Florida.
