💙 THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN THE VISION 💙

This is not the update I (Jeymarie) hoped to share, but it is one I wanted to share with honesty, gratitude, and hope.

For quite some time, I've dreamed of creating a Neurodivergent Prom experience for teens who may not otherwise attend traditional prom due to sensory, social, emotional, physical, motor, accessibility, or other support needs. When the opportunity unexpectedly became available this April, I decided to take a leap of faith and make it happen.

Unfortunately, attendance did not reach the level needed to support the private venue experience we had envisioned, and Neurodivergent Prom 2026 will not move forward as planned.

While I am certainly disappointed, I am far more grateful than discouraged.

Thank you to every family, sponsor, donor, provider, volunteer, community partner, and friend who shared a flyer, made a connection, offered encouragement, donated resources, purchased a ticket, or simply believed in the vision. Your support reminded me just how many people care about creating more inclusive opportunities for our teens.

This year's event may not have happened, but the need still exists and the vision remains very much alive.

We will learn.
We will grow.
We will start earlier.
We will build stronger partnerships.
And we will come back stronger for Neurodivergent Prom 2027. 💙

Because every teen deserves opportunities to celebrate milestones, build connections, make memories, and experience a true sense of belonging.

Not every teen gets to experience prom in a way that feels safe, accessible, or truly inclusive.

While many teens will attend prom this year feeling excited and celebrated, some neurodivergent teens and teens with disabilities may experience traditional prom environments as overwhelming, isolating, inaccessible, or simply out of reach.

That’s why I, Jeymarie Guerra, LMHC, decided to create something different.

A neurodivergent-affirming prom experience rooted in:
• Inclusion
• Belonging
• Connection
• Celebration
• A space where teens can simply be themselves

To help keep the event sensory-considerate and supportive, attendance has intentionally been limited to just 50 teens, giving attendees private access to the entire Sky Zone Pembroke Pines venue and attractions throughout the night.

Mother’s Day isn’t one story.

It’s love and exhaustion.
Pride and guilt.
Joy and grief—sometimes all in the same breath.

Today holds space for the moms who are showing up tired.
The ones figuring it out as they go.
The ones healing while raising others.
The ones who lost, who longed, who chose not to, who mother in ways that don’t always get recognized.

Motherhood doesn’t come in one shape.
Neither does love.
