šŸŒ‘ In the final days of the lunar cycle, the moon goes dark. No light. No glow. Just a quiet, liminal pause before the New Moon is born.
In my practice, the Dark Moon closes the lunar cycle, and my keyword for this phase is RELEASE. This is where we lay down anything that has run its course, so there’s room for something new to emerge.
Most of us reach the end of a cycle still gripping it. The goal we chased. The conversation we keep replaying. The version of ourselves we’ve already outgrown. And our bodies have been holding all of it.
So the next time you find yourself in the dark moon phase, try this:ā€ØšŸ•Æļø Light a candle and call on whatever spiritual connection is meaningful to youā€ØšŸ’š Speak (or write) a few words of gratitude for what this cycle gave youā€ØšŸŒŠ Move slowly. Let your breath lead. Then let go of anything you’d rather not carry into the next cycle.
The Dark Moon also amplifies our sensitivity to the divine, to our physical body, and to our inner wise one. So get still and listen. What is being communicated to you in this moment?
šŸ“© Save this and share it with someone in your moon circle šŸŒ™

āš–ļøšŸ‚ Welcome to Libra Season šŸ‚āš–ļø
Tonight at 8:05 PM ET, the sun enters harmonious, discerning Libra ā™Žļø — marking the exact moment of the Fall Equinox, when day and night stand equal.

Libra is the fire of air šŸ”„šŸ’Ø — a cardinal sign ruled by beauty-loving Venus. She’s heart-driven and gifted with keen discernment, moving through the world seeking equality, authenticity, fairness, and beauty.

Libra also rules the kidneys and endocrine system — both essential for keeping the body in balance. This season isn’t just about smoothing things over. It’s about recalibrating what’s actually in balance versus what only looks that way.

Embodying this archetype through Dance Divination:
Channel the energy of Libra through intricate shapes with your arms and hands — shapes that hold both power and grace. Let your movement shift and change swiftly as you explore the full space around you. Play with inversion, with opposing motions and dynamics. Move with intention, elegance, and confident connection.

Work with Libra energy to:ā€ØšŸ”¹ Create beauty that inspires hope and actionā€ØšŸ”¹ Embody compassion and cultivate harmonyā€ØšŸ”¹ Realign with your valuesā€ØšŸ”¹ Speak truth to powerā€ØšŸ”¹ Be honest and establish clear boundaries

What’s out of balance for you right now? Tell me below šŸ‘‡

You don’t need years of training to start a spiritual dance practice. You need 3 steps.

This is the exact process I’ve used for decades…

Receive — enter a receptive state, hold an intention in your mind, and allow spirit to move through you. Don’t plan the movement, just let it come.

Reflect — notice the movements that came through. Repeat any shapes or phrases that felt important, and pay attention to how they make you feel.

Respond — Expand upon the movement that came through you, sending your own energy back in response.

From here, you can return to step one and begin again. This creates a cyclical process you can return to over and over, discovering something new every time.

This is the foundation of my approach to teaching Channeled Movement, a key part of my Dance Divination practice. No dance experience required — just a willingness to receive.

Save this for the next time you want to start (or return to) your own spiritual dance practice. šŸ•Šļø

✨ Welcome to Virgo Season ✨
The sun has entered practical, detail-oriented Virgo ā™ļø — a mutable earth sign that helps us hold tight to our goals and values as we move toward harvest season.
Virgo is the water šŸ’§ of earth 🌱, giving her the intuitive gift to see the bigger vision and the grounded fortitude to actually build it. Mercury’s rulership gives her the mental clarity to chart a course that’s both practical and efficient.

Virgo also rules the intestines — the part of us that processes experience into wisdom. So this season isn’t just about tidying your calendar. It’s about digesting what you’ve lived through and turning it into something sustainable.

Dance with this archetype:
Get low to the ground. Spiral through your torso. Let your hands sculpt the space like you’re shaping earth. Move with precision — but stay curious.

Work with Virgo energy to:
šŸ”¹ Discern what is medicine and what is poisonā€ØšŸ”¹ Sort and edit your resourcesā€ØšŸ”¹ Find meaning in the mundaneā€ØšŸ”¹ Build rituals that support your well-beingā€ØšŸ”¹ See the sacred connectedness in all things

What’s one ritual you’re refining this Virgo season? Tell me below šŸ‘‡

The lunar cycle begins with the New Moon. My keyword for this phase is EMBODY. As a dancer, I don’t just think about what’s emerging — I practice being receptive, allowing that energy to inhabit my physical being. It’s about holding space for spirit to fill the void and birth something new within.

The New Moon invites us to move with possibility and dream about the energy our soul wants to engage with in this cycle.

A few ways to work with it:ā€ØšŸŒ‘ Engage in a channeled or intuitive movement practiceā€ØšŸŒ‘ Meditate on the element, zodiac sign, or ruling planet of the New Moonā€ØšŸŒ‘ Work with another form of divination, like tarot, runes, or oracle cards

🌱 What seed is being planted into your awareness right now?

šŸŒ‘ Save this and come back to it on your next New Moon.

This is the first phase of the 4-part lunar framework I teach — Embody at the New Moon, Create at the 1st Quarter, Express at the Full Moon, Reflect as it wanes. I go much deeper into the full practice in my podcast episode ā€œDancing with the Moonā€ — link in profile.

šŸ”® Divination itself simply means discovering hidden knowledge by supernatural means — something cultures and religious communities have practiced for centuries using countless tools and methods. Dance is one of the most powerful forms of communication there is, because it surpasses the limits of language. So often, words limit what spirit is trying to convey. A body in motion can communicate so much more, in so much less time.

Think of Dance Divination like an oracle card practice: you ask a question or set an intention, then ā€œpull a cardā€ — except the art you’re observing and interpreting is in motion, and your own body is the reference point.

A few things this practice can offer you:
✨ A deeper connection to spirit and stronger faith in the Universe
✨ Activated, strengthened intuitive gifts
✨ A basic understanding of the language of dance
✨ The ability to discern energetic signatures within movement
✨ A fully embodied spiritual practice

Here’s what I want you to hear clearly: anyone can do this. You don’t need dance experience. You don’t even need to move your own body — Dance Divination is about observation and interpretation first. Movement is simply the language you’re learning to read.

It’s called a practice for a reason — the more you return to it, the more natural it becomes.

Swipe through to learn how it works, and comment ā€œDIVINATIONā€ if you want to go deeper. My book ā€œDance Divination: Movement That Illuminates the Mysteries of Spiritā€ walks through the full framework — link in profile.

Lughnasadh is a fire festival that invites us to celebrate our progress. Here are 4 simple moves to help you embody this energy.
This festival falls when the sun approaches 15° Leo — the exact midpoint between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox. It’s peak sunlight, peak Leo energy, and Leo asks you to be bold and share what you’ve accomplished.
Leo is a fixed fire sign, so the movement for this one is anchored, strong, and expansive: press forward to present what you’ve built, expand outward with confidence, rise up to receive the sun’s vitality, then pull inward with gratitude.
This is part of what I call ā€œsolarā€ dance practice — the outward-focused movement practice I do from Spring Equinox to Autumn Equinox, connecting with the world outside myself instead of turning inward.
šŸŽ§ I go deeper into this in my podcast episode ā€œDancing with the Seasons.ā€
Tell me — what have you been building all year that deserves to be illuminated? šŸ”„

Everyone talks about the Full Moon as being a good time to ā€œreleaseā€ something. I actually disagree.

In my work, the Full Moon isn’t the release point of the lunar cycle, it’s the peak moment — where you have the most energy available to you out of the entire month. That energy isn’t asking you to put something down. It’s asking you to celebrate the progress you’ve made and share what you’ve been cultivating since the New Moon.

The keyword I use to inform my Full Moon practice is EXPRESS. I view this midpoint in the lunar cycle as an opportunity to let your work be seen.

A few ways to work with this energy:
šŸŒ• Gather with others and share your accomplishments
šŸŒ• Publish your work — print it or post it online
šŸŒ• Perform a ritual to honor your progress

What is longing to be illuminated within yourself under this Full Moon?

Save this for the next Full Moon, and tell me below what you’re ready to express šŸ’«

After leaving church, my spiritual dance vocabulary only grew. I fully believed in the work I was doing as a Christian, and I still do. Even through deconstructing and rebuilding my beliefs, spiritual dance has remained my primary spiritual practice — honestly, I think it’s the reason I never lost faith.
Here are 22 names for what I actually do under the umbrella of spiritual dance. If you’ve ever felt unsure of what to even call your spiritual movement practice, this is your vocabulary lesson. Hopefully these terms and definitions will help you give a voice to what you’re experiencing. Which term hit closest to home? Tell me below šŸ‘‡
šŸŽ§ Want to learn more? Check out episode four of my Spiritual Dance Podcast called ā€œSpiritual Dance Lingoā€ where I dive deeper into all of these terms. Find my link in bio to start listening. Save this for later. šŸ•Šļø

I fell off this account for 14 months. Not because I stopped dancing — because I had fallen into performing for a platform instead of practicing with spirit.
Here's what I know for sure: if you've felt disconnected from your body, disconnected from spirit, or harmed by a religious experience that taught you your body was something to take control of instead of something sacred — you're not alone, and you're not broken. You're just missing a practice that was built for exactly this.
That's what my Dance Divination practice was designed for. It's a spiritual practice for people who want to restore a meaningful, two-way connection with the divine - one that can be felt and experienced with your whole being. You don’t need to know how to dance. You just need your body and a willingness to listen.
šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø I'm back. Same mission: teaching you how to have a conversation with spirit through movement, no dance training required.
Comment "BACK" if you're glad I'm here again — I'm reading every single one. šŸ–¤
