September is PMOS (Formerly PCOS) Awareness Month, and awareness is more than knowing what the acronym stands for.
It’s understanding that PMOS can affect much more than your menstrual cycle.
Hormones, insulin sensitivity, metabolism, sleep, stress, nutrition, and movement can all be part of the conversation.
And because PMOS doesn’t look the same in every woman, there isn’t a single approach that works for everyone.
Maybe you’re dealing with irregular periods.
Maybe it’s acne, unwanted hair growth, or hair thinning.
Maybe you’re struggling with weight changes, blood sugar, energy, fertility, or symptoms you haven’t been able to connect to PMOS.
You don’t have to figure out which pieces matter on your own.
A good place to start is understanding what’s happening in your body and having a conversation with a provider who can help you create a personalized plan.
This month, we’re putting the focus on understanding PMOS, not just recognizing the name.
