We were honored to celebrate expecting Veteran mothers with a baby shower hosted by the Women's Clinic today. Several Veterans came by to get newborn supplies including diaper bags, hygiene products, baby clothing and so much more. Veterans in the CBOCs also received these items. Medical Center Director Dr. Jennifer DeFrancesco and Chief of Staff Dr. Lora Cox-Vance attended to congratulate the Veterans in person and distribute the supplies. We'd like to extend a huge thank you to Veterans Medical Supply and the Daughters of the American Revolution for their generous donations for this event.

Veteran Brian Macdonald’s MOVE! story shares how he turned the desire to play with his grandchildren into life-changing healthy habits. He learned how to overcome barriers and increase his daily step goal from 1,000 to between 5,000 and 10,000.

HAPPENING NOW
Kids dressed in costumes are getting lots of candy and having fun at our second annual Trunk or Treat. Dayton VA Police and local law enforcement agencies are passing out treats. There’s also free sandwiches and snacks. Our Outreach and Community Residential Care teams are here to talk to Veterans about Dayton VA enrollment and our different programs. Trunk or Treat goes until 8 tonight

REMINDER- TRUNK OR TREAT TOMORROW OCTOBER 16TH
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
It's the second year for our Trunk or Treat on the Dayton VA campus. It will be from 6-8pm. Come dressed in costume, get candy from Dayton VA Police and other local law enforcement agencies, and enjoy free refreshments. There will also be information for Veterans on how to enroll in VA healthcare.
Bring the whole family for this fun event!

LAST FARMERS MARKET
Today is the last Farmers Market of the season! Come out to the pavilion/picnic/basketball court area to get fresh produce, visit our vendors and food trucks. We will also have our Fall Festival which will include music and fun activities. Hours are 11am- 3pm for the Farmers Market and 11am-1pm for the Fall Festival.
