We hope you will join us Saturday, September 12 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at our Northview Center for our 2026 Technology Fair! This event will offer a great opportunity to get hands-on with assistive technology and get your questions answered about remote supports--how they work, what is involved, and how they help people with developmental disabilities gain more independence and choices! Best of all, it will be held right before our September "Touchdown Tailgate" Dance for adults, which starts at 6 PM. Come join us!

May We Help, a Cincinnati-based organization that provides people with disabilities with adaptive equipment, will be hosting open house-style equipment giveaway events from 6 PM to 8 PM on three Tuesday evenings in September: September 1, 22 and 29. They generally have a variety of wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, Hoyer lifts, and other miscellaneous equipment available, and all are free of charge. They also have Physical Therapists onsite to match and fit equipment, and modification experts who can make in-the-moment repairs or modifications. (Note: More complex modifications may require scheduling a pick-up after the event.) These supports are also offered free of charge. Physical Therapists will be on-site to match and fit equipment, and modification experts can make in-the-moment repairs or modifications. More complex modifications may require scheduling a pick-up after the event. We generally have a variety of wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, Hoyer lifts, and other miscellaneous equipment available.

All equipment is previously owned and is FREE to the recipient.

The event is open-house style. You will check in with a volunteer and then meet with a volunteer PT to review your equipment needs and be fitted for a piece of equipment, as we have it available.

Washington-Centerville Library adds adult-size, height-adjustable changing table for inclusivity.

Greene County Parks & Trails has purchased two GO GRIT all-terrain wheelchairs to help people with disabilities get out and enjoy nature! These chairs are designed to help people explore new places and experience outdoor recreation with greater independence. They have one adult size chair and one junior size, and folks can try them out Tuesday, August 18th at 6 PM at Russ Nature Reserve, 2380 Kemp Road, Beavercreek. IMPORTANT: Anyone who wishes to try a chair is required to bring along a properly fitting helmet to participate. We love inclusion!

Today is the day--the day of our 5th annual Disability Pride Rally, and we hope you can come out and celebrate with us! Festivities begin at 11 AM at Cooper Park, which is located just behind the Main Dayton Metro Library building downtown, between Second and Third streets and Patterson Boulevard and St. Clair Street. Keynote speakers will be people with disabilities, and Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley will have its food truck on hand so you can purchase lunch afterward.
