Today‎ I‎ went‎ to‎ the‎ ER‎ for‎ chest‎ pain‎ and‎ saw‎ something‎ important‎ that‎ I‎ needed‎ share:

⁣EKG‎ lead‎ placement‎ matters,‎ especially‎ for‎ women‎ with‎ large‎ ‎ breasts,‎ ‎ or‎ implant‎ reconstruction.
⁣
⁣Improper‎ placement‎ can‎ change‎ what‎ the‎ EKG‎ shows‎ and‎ potentially‎ miss‎ important‎ life‎ saving‎ things.
⁣
⁣Breast‎ implants‎ don’t‎ “hide”‎ a‎ heart‎ attack,‎ but‎ working‎ around‎ them‎ or‎ over‎ them‎ instead‎ of‎ using‎ the‎ correct‎ landmarks‎ to‎ place‎ leads‎ can‎ affect‎ the‎ tracing.
