✨ What an amazing time at the National APMA Convention in Nashville!

I truly enjoyed mentoring, networking, learning, and reconnecting with my fellow Queens in podiatry. 👑🩺

One of the greatest parts of attending the convention was spending time with the future of podiatric medicine—students, residents, and young doctors who are bringing new energy and ideas to our profession.

After more than 20 years in podiatric medicine, I know how important it is to reach back, encourage the next generation, share what we’ve learned, and keep those professional relationships strong. Mentorship matters. Representation matters. Sisterhood matters.

To all my Queens in podiatry: keep going, keep growing, keep supporting one another, and keep opening doors for the ones coming behind us. 👑👣💕

My healthcare journey didn’t begin in a clinic—it began at Talladega College, my beloved HBCU.

As a Biology major at Talladega, I learned the science that would become the foundation of my career, but I also learned something even more important: the value of service, perseverance, leadership, and giving back to the community. Those lessons have stayed with me every step of the way.

From Talladega College to earning my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree, completing my residency, and opening Richmond Foot & Ankle Clinic in Dayton, Ohio, every chapter has been built on the strong foundation my HBCU gave me. Today, I have the privilege of helping patients stay on their feet through diabetic foot care, wound care, heel pain treatment, sports injuries, custom orthotics, ingrown toenails, toenail fungus treatment, and comprehensive foot and ankle care. At Richmond Foot & Ankle Clinic, our mission is simple: Because We Care About You. (Richmond Foot and Ankle Clinic)

I am especially grateful for the opportunity to mentor future healthcare professionals, educate our community through health fairs, radio, and social media, and encourage young people to pursue careers in medicine. None of that would have been possible without the education and inspiration I received at Talladega College.

Thank you, Talladega College, for planting the seed that grew into a lifetime of service. I will always be proud to be a Talladega College graduate and forever grateful for where my journey began.

As the longtime President of the Dayton NAACP, his leadership has been marked by courage, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and service.
