ADHD doesn’t just show up in school — it can impact your workday, too. 💭
About 10 million adults live with ADHD, and many experience challenges in the workplace — not because they’re not capable, but because most environments aren’t built for neurodiverse ways of thinking.

At work, ADHD might look like:
🧠 Difficulty focusing or staying on task
⏰ Struggling with time management or deadlines
🗂 Feeling disorganized or forgetting details
🔁 Putting off tasks or getting bored easily
⚡ Feeling restless or easily overwhelmed
💬 Interrupting or having trouble in conversations

These aren’t character flaws — they’re differences in how the brain processes information.

With the right support, tools and understanding, people with ADHD can thrive at work. 🤝 Find support here: http://spr.ly/6180BD1qlm

Growth starts when we’re open to seeing things differently. 💭
This worksheet is an invitation to explore new perspectives — from the languages you hear, to the food you try, to the places and experiences you seek out.

Expanding your perspective can help you:
🌍 Build empathy and understanding
🧠 Challenge your assumptions
✨ Discover new interests and experiences
🤝 Connect more deeply with others

Start small — try something new, stay curious and see where it leads.
Sometimes, the biggest growth comes from stepping outside what’s familiar. 🌿

Difficult conversations don’t have to turn into arguments. 💭
With the right approach, they can become opportunities to understand, connect and grow.

Here are a few ways to keep conversations thoughtful and productive:
🧘 Stay calm and open-minded
Going in with curiosity instead of defensiveness can change the tone entirely.
🧠 Know the difference between facts and opinions
Take a moment to reflect on where your beliefs come from — and stay open to others’ perspectives.
❓ Ask open-ended questions
Give space for deeper conversations instead of quick, surface-level responses.
👂 Listen to understand, not just respond
Focus on truly hearing the other person before jumping in.
🤝 Look for shared values
Even when opinions differ, there’s often common ground.
⏸️ Take a break if needed
It’s okay to step away and come back when you’re feeling more grounded.

Conversations don’t have to be about “winning” — they can be about learning. ✨

Our team had a fantastic time enjoying the beautiful weather at this weekend’s Montgomery County Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day at Elmwood Park Zoo! 🌞🐾

We loved connecting with families, reconnecting with fellow providers, and building new relationships in support of children’s mental health. 💚

A special thank you to our incredible J Snyder Therapeutic Services clinicians for representing our team and making this event such a success! 👏

Getting to know yourself is one of the most powerful things you can do for your mental health. 💭

This self-discovery worksheet is designed to help you pause, reflect and better understand what shapes your thoughts, emotions and experiences.
Take a moment to explore questions like:
🧠 What are my strengths and challenges?
💛 What brings me joy or gives me energy?
🎯 What are my goals — and what’s holding me back?
🌿 What triggers me, and how can I respond differently?

There’s no “right” answer — just honest reflection.
The more you understand yourself, the more empowered you become to grow, set boundaries and move forward with intention. ✨

May may be coming to a close, but mental health awareness doesn’t end here. 💚

This month, our centers across Optum Behavioral Care came together to share stories, resources, education, support, and reminders that no one has to navigate life alone. From conversations around anxiety and burnout to healing, connection, and hope — every post, event, and interaction mattered.

Mental health is not just a month. It’s everyday care, everyday conversations, and everyday courage. 🌱✨ Feel like you need support? http://spr.ly/6184B8dg9k

Mental health matters at every stage of life — and it becomes especially important as we age. 💭

While many mental health conditions begin earlier in life, they don’t go away on their own. In fact, about 14% of adults over 60 live with a mental health condition, and challenges like depression are often misunderstood as a “normal” part of aging — but they’re not.
Good mental health means having the ability to cope with life’s ups and downs, stay connected to others and continue living a meaningful, fulfilling life.

As we get older, prioritizing mental well-being can help:
🧠 Build emotional resilience
🤝 Strengthen relationships and reduce isolation
🌿 Improve overall quality of life

Simple habits can make a big difference:
🥗 Eating well
🏃 Staying active
💬 Maintaining social connections
😴 Getting enough sleep

Mental health is just as important as physical health — at every age. And support is always available if you or a loved one needs it. 🤝
