Guided Solutions Therapy is excited to introduce you to our newest employee, Samantha Schommer. Even though we are a few weeks away from Sam joining us full time, we are actively looking to fill her schedule. So please reach out to us and start your healing journey today.
Here is a little more about Samantha:
My approach is rooted in the belief that growth often requires discomfort and that meaningful change happens when individuals are supported with compassion, curiosity, and honesty. I operate from a growth mindset and strive to create an affirming, strengths-based therapeutic environment where individuals feel empowered to explore challenges, build insight, and develop sustainable coping skills.
I draw from a variety of evidence-based and experiential modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness practices, expressive arts interventions, and executive functioning support. My areas of specialization include substance use disorders, neurodivergence, interpersonal communication and relationship skill development, trauma-informed care, and supporting individuals navigating general mental health challenges and life transitions.
I recognize that traditional talk therapy is not always the most effective or accessible approach for everyone. I enjoy incorporating hands-on, creative, and experiential interventions to help individuals engage in the therapeutic process in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable. Whether we are building practical skills, exploring underlying patterns, or navigating difficult emotions, I aim to meet individuals where they are while gently challenging them toward growth.
Above all, I believe therapy is a collaborative process grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the understanding that healing and change are possible, even when it feels uncomfortable.
