It’s that time of year again.

Every year since I started this business, I take a full week away. No clients. No emails. No social media. No work. Just a complete reset.

My brain needs it.

This year feels a little different because, if I’m being real, I haven’t been as present in my business or on here as I have been in years past. That doesn’t mean I haven’t been trying, and it definitely doesn’t mean nothing has been happening behind the scenes. It just means this season has looked different.

Part of me has wondered if I even need this sabbatical since I’ve already stepped back more than usual.

But maybe that’s exactly why I need it.

I’ve learned not to fight what my mind and body are asking for. Every year, this week gives me the space to breathe, think, reflect, and come back with a little more clarity.

I don’t know what I’ll come back wanting to do. Maybe I’ll feel excited to build something new. Maybe I’ll keep doing exactly what’s working for me right now. I honestly don’t know, and I’m okay with that.

What I do know is that I’m looking forward to completely unplugging, heading out on back-to-back trips, celebrating another trip around the sun, spending time with people I love, and doing all of my favorite things.

So for the next 10 days, I’m officially out of office (everywhere).

See you on the other side. 🤍

A quick note from me.

I know I’ve been a bit quieter lately, on social media and in my weekly emails.

I want you to know that I’m still very much here.

Life moves in seasons. And this one, for me, has looked a little more quiet, a little more behind the scenes. Not gone. Not checked out. Focused in different places.

If I’m being honest, social media has never been my thing. It’s not where I feel most like myself. It’s not where I do my best work. And it definitely isn’t what fills my cup.

But it is where the people are. So I’ve always tried to find a way to show up.

Lately, though, I’ve caught myself asking… at what cost?

Because the things I care about most don’t happen on an app.
They happen in conversations.
In workouts.
In check-ins.
In the quiet, consistent work that no one else sees.

That’s the part of this I love.
That’s the part that actually helps people

I don’t have hours to edit videos or try to make things look perfect. I don’t want to post just to be creative or to keep up. If I’m showing up, it’s going to be to teach you, to help you, or to give you something real you can actually use.

I think there’s this unspoken pressure that if you own a business, you have to love social media. You have to be “on” all the time. You have to look polished and put together.

I don’t believe that.

Not all business owners like social media.
Not all of us have time for it.
And honestly, not everything needs to look perfect to be valuable.

I would rather give you something real than something edited.

So if things look a little different around here, that’s why.

But what I know will never change, my love for helping people.

At my core, my work is about helping people become strong, confident humans who don’t give up on themselves. Building balance. Building consistency. Building trust in who you are.

And I’m not going anywhere.

As long as I’m still having fun with this and still able to help people in a way that actually matters, I’ll keep showing up. It just might not always look the way people expect it to.

I value making a difference. I value real relationships. I value honesty. And I value being someone you can actually talk to.

I'm still here ❤️

We always hear time is of the essence.

As I get older, my time has become more and more valuable.

And I know just how valuable your time is too.

Which is why I have always built my workout programs to fit just that.

30 minutes or less
At home or at the gym
No guesswork

Just a plan that fits real life, in real time, that actually works.

Real Talk Thursday

If today feels slower, heavier, or harder to start, you’re not alone.

Not every day is a high-energy day.
Especially when the weather can’t decide what season it is.

You don’t need to match someone else’s pace.
You just need to do something that supports you today.

A walk.
Stretching.
Ten minutes instead of thirty.

Progress isn’t built on perfect days.
It’s built on the ones you almost skipped.

Real Talk Thursday

If you’re waiting to feel motivated again… you might be waiting a while.

This time of year messes with routines.
Sun one day, snow the next, dark mornings that make staying in feel easier.

Motivation comes and goes.
Habits are what carry you through seasons like this.

Keep it simple.
Keep it realistic.
Keep going anyway.

Real Talk Thursday

Over that winter feeling for sure. So much that I booked a beach vacation for the first time in my life to escape depressville.

Snowy. Cold. Warm. Sunny. Rainy. Cloudy.

It honestly drains you more than you expect.

This is when you’re going to feel like you want to quit. Not because you don’t care but because you are mentally and physically worn down and simply over it.

Lower the pressure you place on yourself.
Always keep your habits simple.
And remember that the consistency built will carry you through those toughest days.

Real Talk Thursday

If motivation has felt all over the place lately… you’re not imagining it.

One day it’s sunny and you feel energized.
The next it’s dark, cold, and everything feels harder.
Weather affects mood. Mood affects energy. Energy affects habits.

This is the time of year where consistency matters more than intensity.

Just remember that you don’t need your best workouts right now you just need to keep showing up.

Some movement is always better than no movement.

How long would it take you to add yourself to the list of the things you needed to take care of?

You only get one life. Remember to take care of you.

Real Talk Thursday: Strength Training & Your Heart

Strength training isn’t just about muscles or aesthetics.
It’s about long-term health.

Lifting weights supports your heart by improving blood sugar control, lowering stress on your joints, and helping your body move more efficiently.

It builds strength, protects your bones, supports metabolism, and helps you stay independent as you age.

You don’t need heavy weights or complicated workouts.
You need consistency and a plan that fits your life.

Strong bodies support strong hearts and strong bad ass humans.
