Empower Play’s first gardening season has begun! 🌱

At Empower Play, we love incorporating nature into our sessions as a way to support regulation, growth, connection, and healing. Gardening provides opportunities to build patience, responsibility, mindfulness, and confidence while spending time outdoors and engaging with the natural world.

We’re excited to watch our garden grow this season and to share the experience with the children and families we serve. From planting seeds to celebrating each new sprout, every step is an opportunity for learning, discovery, and growth.

Meet sweet Ember 💛

A Great Pyrenees and therapy dog in training!

(Though we’re not entirely sure whether Ember is handled by our amazing play therapist, Angie, or if Ember is the one handling Angie. 🤷‍♀️)

Today, Ember spent her first day getting acquainted with her new office, exploring her surroundings, and meeting lots of new friends. From the moment she arrived, she brought warmth, comfort, and plenty of smiles to everyone at Empower Play.

We’re so excited to have Ember as part of our team and can’t wait to watch her continue her journey as a therapy dog. We know she’ll continue make a meaningful impact on the children and families we serve.

✨ Big things are/continue to happen! 🎉

We’re so excited to be settling into our new space. This expanded space gives us more room to grow, collaborate, and better serve the children and families in our community.

Even more exciting, it provides the perfect foundation for the growth of my new nonprofit organization. Stay tuned to learn more on how my dedicated board and I plan to support the mental health and well-being of children and families throughout Green Bay and the surrounding communities.
