Research shows that listening to music can:
🎵 reduce anxiety, depression, blood pressure, and pain;
🎹 improve sleep quality, mood, memory;
🎧 increase some cognitive functions;
🎶 enhance learning and concentration; and
🧠 ward off the effects of brain aging.
Music is so good for your brain because it is one of the few activities that stimulates your whole brain. Because music is structural, mathematical, and architecture-based on relationships between one note and the next, it’s a total brain workout.

Forgiveness doesn't mean you accept what they did. It means what happened doesn't control you anymore.

01/06/2026

As we step into a new year, many of us make resolutions to change things — our habits, our routines, even our relationships. But what if, instead of trying to change your partner or hoping they’ll finally “see the light,” your resolution was simply this:

✨ Embrace your partner.

So often we relate to the image we have of our partner — who we want them to be, who we think they should be — rather than the real, complex, beautifully different person in front of us. And when we try to “improve” them, what we’re really saying is: “Be less you, and more my version of you.”

This year, try shifting from judgment to curiosity. Ask what it’s like to live inside your partner’s world — their feelings, history, temperament, and needs.

Remember: Your partner is not you. And that’s not a problem — it’s the gift. When we accept and honor our differences instead of resisting them, defensiveness softens and connection deepens. Mature love grows not from changing each other, but from truly seeing — and appreciating — one another.

✨ Resolution for the year: Stay curious. - Harville Hendrix

The Enormous Power of Glimmers to Calm Your Anxious Mind https://buff.ly/1I0CYjQ

Glimmers are some kind of internal or external cues—small, positive moments or experiences—that spark feelings of joy, safety, or peace for you. These pleasant instances can ease and relax your nervous system with a feeling of contentment or a sense that everything is OK, even if just for minutes.

It’s the opposite of a trigger, which activates your nervous system and heightens anxiety or negative emotions.

A glimmer can be anything from feeling the sunshine warming your face to cuddling with a furry friend to smelling the aroma of coffee brewing. It’s whatever evokes a good feeling for you.

It almost seems too simple. But it’s true and scientifically proven.

Noticing little positive moments could be one way to help calm and regulate your anxious, overwhelmed nervous system.
