💜 Purple Day for Alzheimer’s Awareness 💜

In honor of our upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s tomorrow, June 13th at 10:00 AM, our residents and staff wore purple to show their support for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped raise awareness for this important cause. Together, we walk for a future without Alzheimer’s! 💜

🌿 Growing Something Special at Oak Crest! 🌿

Our residents and volunteers have been hard at work planting Oak Crest's very own Native Garden! 🌼🦋

This beautiful new space will provide a natural habitat and create a peaceful area for our residents to enjoy throughout the seasons. It has been wonderful to see our community come together, get their hands in the soil, and help bring this project to life.

A huge thank you to our sponsor and to everyone who volunteered their time and effort to make this garden possible. We can't wait to watch it grow and bloom in the months ahead! 🌱💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Petting Zoo Fundraiser! 🐐💜

Our residents, families, and staff had a wonderful time, and thanks to your support, we raised funds for our Alzheimer’s Walk next week. We are grateful for our amazing community and look forward to walking together in support of Alzheimer’s awareness and research.

Join us this Saturday, June 6th from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Oak Crest (Door 26) for a fun-filled Petting Zoo event benefiting the Alzheimer's Foundation! 🐐🐰🐑

📍 2944 Greenwood Acres Drive, DeKalb, IL

💲 Admission:
• $5.00 for a family of 4
• $2.00 for each additional child

Come meet some adorable furry friends while supporting a great cause. Every dollar raised will be donated to the Alzheimer's Foundation and help make a difference in the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's disease.

Together, our residents and staff collected an incredible 1,238 pounds of clothing and household donations for Goodwill!

These donations will help provide more than 210 hours of job skills training and support services for individuals in our community. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make a difference.

A huge THANK YOU to Oak Crest DeKalb Area Retirement Center for hosting an incredibly successful Goodwill donation drive! 💙👏

Thanks to the generosity of the residents and staff, an amazing 1,238 pounds of clothing and household donations were collected to help support local Goodwill mission programs.

Those donations will help provide more than 210 hours of job skills training and support services for individuals in our community who are working toward brighter futures. What an incredible impact!

We are so thankful for community partners like Oak Crest DeKalb Retirement Community who are helping create opportunities, change lives, and make a difference right here in Northern Illinois.
