H.O.M.E.S. Residential Care (also owned by Dr. Sparks), is looking to hire a BCBA in Clio, MI (near Flint). This will be to oversee a aberrant behavior home, helping to design the home culture, assessing and designing behavior plans, training staff to implement the behavior plan, and directly implementing skill building procedures. Competitive pay (depending on experience), new venture so lots of room for future growth. Knowledge in our science is more important than experience with functional behavior assessment. If you know of anyone who might be interested they can email a resume to [email protected].

New Podcast(s) Alert

Our team has released two new podcasts. “The Cooperant Learning Podcast” interviews experts in our field, many whose interests lie outside of autism. We’re hoping to educate and get people excited about all the applications of applied behavior analysis and possibly reignite some people’s passion for our science when working in the current healthcare environment has taken its toll.

The second podcast is called The Doc Analyzes Anything (TDAA) and is meant to entertain the general public, while also providing behavior analytic insight into societal behavior that can be puzzling. For example, episode two which will be released within a week analyzes the behavior of both the leaders and people who join cults.

These are just the first two endeavors of Cooperant Learning, a new project where we will be creating behavior analytic training courses and computerized on the job tools. There will be much more to come, but in the meantime let us know what you think.
