We provide a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services. Model representations of real patients are shown.

A 144-bed facility, Metropolitan Behavioral Health provides a full continuum of inpatient behavioral health services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues is offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy. Physicians are on the medical staff of Metropolitan Behavioral Health, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Metropolitan Behavioral Health. The facility shall not be liable for actions or treatments provided by physicians. We are unable to provide medical advice through social media. Together, we stand in support of those courageously fighting breast cancer, celebrate the strength of survivors and honor the memory of those we have lost.

A little pink goes a long way in spreading awareness, encouraging early detection and reminding everyone that no one fights alone.

We are pleased to announce Keel as our new Lead Milieu Specialist at Metropolitan Behavioral Health!

Keel brings an impressive 25 years of experience in human services, including more than 18 years in healthcare and 12 years in psychiatric healthcare. He is passionate about patient and staff safety, delivering exceptional patient care and creating a supportive therapeutic environment.

Keel began his career at Metropolitan as a Mental Health Technician and has continued to grow within the organization, serving as a Lead Mental Health Technician and Milieu Specialist. His experience has given him extensive knowledge of our hospital, our patients and the teams who serve them.

Keel’s strong work ethic, professionalism, integrity, commitment to therapeutic relationships and knowledge of hospital operations make him an excellent leader and a valuable addition to the Metropolitan Behavioral Health leadership team.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for the ribbon-cutting celebration and launch of our new ECT program at Metropolitan Behavioral Health. We’re grateful for the support of our community partners, colleagues and guests who helped make this milestone so special.

We are proud to expand access to mental health care and provide another important treatment resource for individuals in our community. We look forward to continuing to grow, collaborate and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Sue, Chief Operating Officer, and Carol, Chief Financial Officer, had the opportunity to attend the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce Women of Inspiration Luncheon, presented by The Henry Ford.

The event featured keynote speaker Patricia Mooradian, President and CEO of The Henry Ford, and brought together women from across the community to celebrate leadership and the impact women continue to make in our region.

Thank you to the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce for hosting such an inspiring event!

We are pleased to announce that Tom is our new Milieu Specialist.

Tom brings over five years of experience in psychiatric healthcare to his role at Metropolitan, including four years as a Team Lead and Trainer. In this capacity, he has successfully trained more than 40 behavioral technicians to excel in a demanding environment. Tom’s strengths lie in his analytical skills, crisis management and interpersonal communication, but the aspect he values most is team building.

Tom holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and is currently considering further education with a focus on healthcare. He looks forward to making a positive impact here at Metropolitan, fostering a safe and supportive environment for both our staff and patients. On a personal note, Tom has four children; his youngest is a freshman at Albany State University, while his third youngest is a sophomore at Michigan State University.
