🎃🍂 A trip to the pumpkin patch has become a favorite fall tradition here at The Carriages of Decatur, and this year did NOT disappoint! 🧡

We headed out to Black Bart’s Pumpkin Patch in Warrensburg, and WOW, did Mother Nature show off for us! ☀️🌾 We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to spend out in the country with a few of our country guys and gals. The crops were being harvested, the weather was absolutely perfect, and we even brought home some pumpkins to kick off our fall decorating! 🎃🚜

There’s just something special about getting out in the fresh country air, enjoying the beauty of the season, and making memories together. ❤️

A HUGE thank-you to the lovely staff at Black Bart’s Pumpkin Patch for welcoming us and helping make our annual outing so wonderful! We’re already looking forward to next year! 🍁🥰

We paired these delicious goodies with a spooky movie afternoon featuring Beetlejuice, and it was the perfect way to enjoy some Halloween fun! 👻🍿

It never ceases to amaze us just how generous and caring our Decatur businesses are toward our residents and our community. We are truly humbled by your kindness and grateful to have such wonderful community partners who help make these special moments possible. ❤️

🎹🎶 We were incredibly blessed to enjoy an hour of beautiful music at The Carriages of Decatur! ❤️

A huge thank-you to the talented performers from Millikin Piano Club for sharing their gifts with our residents during their Community Outreach Concert! We enjoyed beautiful piano performances by Eliot Conner and Dr. Pei-I Wang, along with the wonderful baritone vocals of Micah Gabriel, who is studying opera! 🎤🎵

It was such a special afternoon filled with beautiful melodies, smiles, and meaningful moments. We are so grateful to Millikin Piano Club for bringing their incredible talent into our community and giving our residents the opportunity to experience the joy of live music. 🥰

Music truly has a special way of touching the heart, sparking memories, and bringing people together! ❤️🎶

🌧️🪶 We got creative celebrating Indigenous Peoples’ Day at The Carriages of Decatur! ❤️

Our residents enjoyed learning about Native American culture, including the meaning and traditions behind the rain dance. We brought our learning to life by creating our very own rain sticks! 🌈✨

One of the most special parts of the experience was discovering that several of our own residents share Native American ancestry, making this activity even more meaningful and personal. ❤️

We love opportunities to learn something new, celebrate different cultures, share stories, and make meaningful connections together! 🥰

Our residents had a spooktacular time creating these amazing spooky glitter globes! 🖤💜 Each one turned out uniquely fabulous, filled with a little Halloween magic and a whole lot of creativity! 🧙‍♀️🪄

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we're coming together to show our love, support, and encouragement for those who have fought, those who are still fighting, and those we hold forever in our hearts. 💗

On Friday, October 23rd, The Carriages of Decatur will be proudly wearing PINK to honor the incredible strength, courage, and resilience of those affected by breast cancer!

💕 WE WANT YOU TO JOIN US! 💕

We are selling Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirts for $20 each, with both women's and men's styles available!

🎀 The BEST part? ALL PROFITS from T-shirt purchases will be donated to our local cancer care center! 🎀

We all look forward to B-I-N-G-O at The Carriages of Decatur! 🎉❤️

The excitement, the laughter, the friendly competition… and, of course, those prizes! 😉 Our bingo prize stash stays stocked thanks to a few of our wonderful family members and friends who are always so generous with their donations.

🍽️ Last week’s adventure took us to The Wharf! 🌊

For many of our residents, it was their first visit, while others hadn’t been there in many years. It was so much fun getting out, enjoying a delicious lunch, and making new memories together!

Our food was absolutely amazing, and our two servers were so sweet, attentive, and wonderful to our group. They helped make our outing extra special! ❤️

We had a fantastic time and give The Wharf TWO THUMBS UP! 👍👍

We’re already looking forward to our next adventure! 🥰
