We track more than pounds.

At PrecisionMD, body composition is one of the tools we can use to follow what is actually changing during treatment.

The scale may tell us that weight is down. Body composition can help us see whether fat mass is decreasing, whether muscle is being preserved, and how those changes are trending over time.

That matters because the goal is not simply to make the number on the scale smaller.

We want the plan to support better health, strength, and long-term progress.

That is why we use SECA body-composition measurements as part of care when they are helpful.

The number matters. The bigger picture matters more.

Weight tells us how heavy your body is.

Body composition helps tell us what that weight is made of.

That can include things like muscle mass, body fat, visceral fat, and body water.

Why does that matter?

Because losing 10 pounds of mostly fat is very different from losing 10 pounds that includes a significant amount of muscle.

And during maintenance, preserving muscle can be just as important as keeping the number on the scale stable.

Body composition gives us another way to follow what is changing over time and whether the plan is moving in the direction we want.

Weight is one number. Body composition gives us more of the picture.

The scale can be useful. But it cannot tell you the whole story.

Two people can weigh exactly the same and have very different amounts of muscle and body fat. And during weight loss, the number on the scale may move more slowly even while body composition is improving.

That is why progress can show up in more ways than one.

You may be getting stronger. Your clothes may fit differently. Your waist measurement may be changing. You may be maintaining muscle while losing fat.

Those changes matter, even when the scale is being stubborn.

The scale is one measurement. It is not the definition of your progress.

Losing the weight was hard.
I didn’t realize keeping it off could be even harder.

That experience is incredibly common.

After weight loss, the body does not simply forget where it started. Appetite can increase. Energy expenditure can decrease. Old hunger signals may return. And the habits that helped with weight loss may need to change for maintenance.

That does not mean you failed.

It means keeping weight off often requires its own plan.

Long-term success may include ongoing nutrition support, strength training, monitoring, medication when appropriate, and adjustments over time.

Maintaining it is another.

Losing weight and maintaining weight are not exactly the same challenge.

After weight loss, the body adapts.

Appetite can increase. A smaller body generally requires fewer calories. Hunger cues may become stronger. And the treatment or habits that helped during active weight loss may need to change once the goal becomes maintenance.

That is one reason weight regain is so common.

It is not simply a matter of deciding to “try harder.”

Long-term weight management may require its own strategy, including nutrition, strength training, activity, ongoing monitoring, medication when appropriate, and adjustments over time.

That’s why maintenance deserves its own plan. The strategy that helps someone lose weight may need to change once the goal becomes keeping it off.

Are you ready for a plan that’s personal?

At PrecisionMD, we do not believe good care starts and ends with a prescription.

It starts with listening.

Understanding what you have already tried, what is getting in the way, what matters to you, and what you are actually hoping to accomplish.

Then we build the plan around you.

That may include weight-loss medication, hormone treatment, nutrition, body-composition tracking, lifestyle changes, or simply taking the time to figure out what makes the most sense next.

And the plan is not static. We follow how you are doing, talk through what is working and what is not, and make changes when you need them.

Because the relationship is part of the medicine.

Good medicine is personal.

Testosterone treatment should feel like medical care, not a transaction.

You should know who is treating you. You should have someone who listens to how you are feeling, reviews your labs, adjusts treatment when needed, and follows how you are actually responding over time.

Because testosterone care is not just about getting a prescription.

It is about making sure the treatment is appropriate, monitoring your levels, watching things like hematocrit and PSA when indicated, and paying attention to the outcomes that matter to you: energy, strength, body composition, recovery, mood, and s*xual health.

That is what we want men to experience at PrecisionMD.

Real care. Real people. Real results.

Low testosterone does not always show up as a problem with s*x drive.

Sometimes the first thing a man notices is that his energy is gone. Workouts feel harder. He is losing strength or muscle. Recovery takes longer. His mood or motivation feels different. His body composition is changing even though his habits have not.

Testosterone can play a role in all of those things.

But symptoms alone do not diagnose low testosterone. Fatigue, low libido, changes in mood, and loss of strength can have more than one cause.

That is why good testosterone care starts with a real evaluation: your symptoms, your health history, and properly obtained lab testing considered together.

If testosterone is part of the problem, we can identify it, treat it appropriately, and monitor how you respond.

Lower energy.

Less motivation.

Changes in strength.

Lower s*x drive.

Trouble recovering the way you used to.

Feeling more tired, flat, or just not quite like yourself.

For some men, low testosterone may be part of the reason.

The only way to know is to look at the symptoms, the labs, and the bigger picture together.

If you have been brushing it off as “just getting older,” it may be worth taking a closer look.

Maybe.

But not necessarily.

GLP-1 medications can be very effective for weight loss, but they are not automatically the right choice for everyone.

The best option depends on your medical history, current medications, how much weight you want to lose, appetite, metabolic health, side effects, cost, and what you have already tried.

For some people, a GLP-1 medication may be a great fit.

For others, a different weight-loss medication may make more sense.

And some people may not need medication at all.

The goal is not to start with the medication everyone is talking about.

The goal is to figure out 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂.
