Maybe your wellness routine doesn't need to be fancier.
Maybe it needs to be more supportive.

There's always another thing we could be doing for our health.

Another habit to add.
Another routine to follow.
Another thing to keep up with.

But sometimes taking better care of ourselves looks pretty ordinary.

😴 Going to bed.
🏃🏽‍♀️ Moving your body in a way that feels good.
👯‍♀️ Spending time with people who fill you back up.
📆 Keeping the appointment you've been putting off.
⏸️ Taking the break.

Paying attention when something feels different instead of automatically pushing through it.

You don't have to maximize every part of yourself to take good care of yourself.

Start with what actually supports you in the life you're living right now.

And if you don't know where to start, join me on September 17th at noon for the Navigating the New workshop.I'll help you figure out where to start. The link is here: https://araina-linton.aweb.page/navigating-the-new-workshop

Show of hands: who's guilty of this? 🙋🏽‍♀️

Please know that you don't have to suffer through a massage for it to help.

You're not getting extra credit for toughing it out.

When pressure goes too deep too fast, your body does what it's designed to do: it protects.

Your muscles tighten, your breathing changes, and now I'm working against a body that's bracing instead of releasing.
That doesn't make the session more effective.
It actually makes it harder.

When we work within your comfort level, your body has room to actually let go.

And from there, we can usually work more deeply with the muscles anyway.
Because your body isn't fighting me anymore.

🗣️ So if something ever feels like too much during a session, please speak up.

It's still working. I promise.

If you're in the Decatur area and ready for a session where you actually don't have to suffer through it, link in bio to book. www.massageartistryatl.com

Maybe life doesn't look the way it did six months ago.

Your schedule changed.
Work got busier.
You're coming out of a season that took more out of you than you expected.

Or maybe things finally feel steady again.

But sometimes we're still trying to take care of ourselves using routines and expectations that belonged to a completely different season.

I've noticed this for a long time.

When life changes, we adjust to everything happening around us, but we don't always stop to ask what we need now.

That's what Navigating the New: Prioritizing Your Wellness When Life Looks Different is about.

In this free 45-minute virtual workshop, we'll name the season you're actually in, look at where your energy has been going throughout your life, and decide what you want to focus on in this season.

You'll leave with your own Seasonal Blueprint, completed and in your hands.

✨ New season, new rules. Let's write yours. ✨

⏰ September 17 at 12PM EST.

A little reminder for National Self-Care Month:

Self-care doesn't have to be a whole production.

Sometimes it's going to bed a little earlier.
Taking the walk.
Giving yourself five quiet minutes.
Scheduling the appointment you've been putting off.
Or noticing that your shoulders are creeping toward your ears again and doing something about it before your body has to get louder.

The goal isn't to become perfect at taking care of yourself.

It's to get a little better at noticing what you need...and responding to it.

What's one small way you're taking care of yourself this month?

A massage doesn't have to hurt to be effective.

Actually, when the pressure is too much, your body protects itself and works against the whole process.

I break down exactly why in this video:

September has a way of bringing routines back.

Summer schedules start to settle.
The back-to-school energy kicks in.
Life starts finding its rhythm again.

And that makes it a really good time to check in with your body too.

If your shoulders have been feeling like rocks, your neck has been tight, or stress has been quietly building, this is your reminder to get ahead of it instead of waiting until it becomes a bigger interruption.

My regular clients usually rebook at the end of their session, and that consistency is a big part of why they feel better, stay ahead of recurring tension, and make care part of their life before the calendar fills up.

They make the time first.
Then they schedule around it.

If you've been meaning to get back on the schedule, September appointments are now open.

“How often should I get a massage?” is one of those questions where I wish there were one perfect answer.

But there really isn’t.

Your body might need something completely different during a stressful season than it does when things are feeling pretty good.

There may be times when once a month feels like plenty.

And there may be seasons when you realize, “Okay…waiting another four weeks is probably not working for me.” 😖

That’s why I think less about finding the “perfect” massage schedule and more about finding a rhythm that actually supports you.

Because if every appointment starts with us trying to undo weeks or months of tension all over again, we may want to look at what happens when we shorten that gap.

You’re also not signing a lifetime contract committing to one schedule. We can adjust as your body, stress, and life change.

Not sure where you fit? Come in, tell me what’s been going on, and we’ll figure out what makes sense for you. 💛

Book your session through the link in my bio.

A little end-of-month check-in: how well did you take care of yourself this month?

Not how productive you were.
Not how much you got done.

How did your body feel?

Did you notice when your shoulders started feeling like rocks?
When your neck got tight?
When your energy was running low?

Self-care doesn't have to mean doing everything perfectly. Sometimes it starts with noticing what your body has been asking for and giving it some support sooner.

So, on a scale of 1–5, where are you this month?

No judgment. Just information. 💚

Currently working on this one. 👀

For the last 15 years, I've watched what happens in women's bodies when life changes.

A new schedule.
A business that levels up.
A season that just knocks the wind out of you.

The routines that used to keep you grounded stop working.

And nobody hands you a plan for that... until now.

So I made one!
