Are you one of the millions of people that have seen the video of LeAnn Rimes releasing her trauma on camera?

it shows someone pressing on a trigger point in the back of her mouth, and this causes her to release an emotional response.

I do a technique called the Sculptural facial lift in which I massage all 42 muscles of the face, touch on relaxation Vegas nerve trigger points, and help increase circulation and move lymph.

Part of the technique involves massaging the masseter muscle muscles, which lie in the back of the mouth.

When people saw this video, they immediately messaged me and said “is this what you do?“

The answer is… Well, kind of.

Don’t come to me if you want me to release your trauma. This is something you need to work on with a therapist on your own over a long period of time. The technique I do can help create a sense of deep relaxation so possibly some subconscious things can come up to the surface for you. But this is totally up to you and if you are ready to go to that next step of your growth process.

Some clients just want the physical anatomical lifting of the service and a perk for them is that they get this deep relaxation which they’ve probably never felt before.

What do you think about these types of techniques? Have you had any experience with them good or bad?

Let me know in the comments what you think and I would welcome therapist, especially trauma therapist to weigh in on this.

Getting prepared for a Sculptural Lift and Release client at The Intown Retreat in Decatur.
This 90 minute facial that targets and helps release trapped stress and emotions has been described as transformational. All 42 muscles in the face as well as blood vessels, lymph, nerves, fascia, and bone sutures are gently eased out of contraction. What’s left is your true expression….devoid of anger, worry, fear, or grief. You feel brighter and lighter and your face reflects that.
The setting at The Intown Retreat supports the use of essential oils and other modalities to assist in the process.
If you feel curious please DM with questions!

Anyone can learn to do the steps of a facial by reading a book.
But it takes time and experience and a deep noticing to see what each client needs that day and create a facial to meet those needs.
When you come in telling me, you’ve been on the computer all day, I’ll add techniques to soothe, tired eyes.

When you tell me that you look in the mirror and you notice your lips are thinning, I will include techniques to plump soften and hydrate your lips.

When you tell me that your dad just passed away, I will include techniques to nurture and support.

When we are finished, my goal is to hear you say “that was just what I needed”.

During the pandemic I did some virtual facial consults, but it just wasn’t working.
Looking at skin without touching it and working with it tells me virtually nothing about skin health.
I soon realized that virtual consults are useless for me and don’t help the client at all.
There are situations where a client who is well known to me will text me and send a photo of something new thats going on. I can usually help them over the phone becuase I know their skin well and can figure out what’s going on.
But there is just no way for me to properly assist in helping you meet your skin goals without regular routine facials.
I’d love to help you get the skin you’re after!!
Please come to or my home studio for an initial evaluation so you can get started on your skincare journey! All links are in my bio.

I am committed to helping you meet your personal skin goals, whatever that might be.

This client had acne that she’d had for a while and she was trying a lot of over-the-counter remedies, which just weren’t working. Once we landed on a comprehensive effective routine, her skin responded really well.

She comes in for a routine facials to get her skin checked and make sure that we don’t need to tweak anything as things do change. But she’s very happy with the health of her skin and the way it looks and feels and that’s all that matters to me! 💕

Skin health is important and the best way to properly evaluate and treat skin is by getting a professional facial service.

Here’s what happens during a facial:
✔️ the skin is cleansed with a basic cleanser
✔️ I look closely with a magnifying lens at all the surfaces of the skin, looking for any areas of concern, such as redness, flaky skin, pustules or acne, clogged, pores, or congestion, signs of skin stress, or compromised barrier.
✔️ I developed a plan for the facial which consists of treating any areas of concern that I see. I have many products and modalities available during a regular facial that I can use to address this.
✔️ if needed, a second cleanse is done and a swipe with toner to prepare the skin for the treatment.
✔️ I make a choice of which exfoliation the skin wants on that day based on the condition of the skin. Exfoliation is the removal of excess dead skin. This also gives me a chance to see how the skin responds to exfoliation and how sensitive it is.
✔️ a second form of exfoliation might be used if the skin requires it.
✔️ I go through an extract any clogged pores or pustules that I see that needs to be extracted.
✔️ a relaxing and soothing facial massages is then done. I usually use my CBD blue tansy oil as this calms soothes and moisturizes the skin as I massage. I may use other tools such as gua sha or cold globes, or cold mushroom stones to complete the massage.
✔️ an appropriate mask is chosen for the skin based on the condition of the skin when we started. I can treat many different things with different kinds of masks, including dryness, redness, irritation. I also have a mask for tightening and dressing, skin tone.
✔️ while the mask sits on, I perform a luxurious hand and arm massage
✔️ the mask is removed and I finish with finishing products based on what the skin desires.
✔️ after the client is dressed we talk about my findings and I’ll make suggestions to continue treating the skin at home.

LED light masks when used properly by respectable companies are very good skincare tools. However, the industry is growing so rapidly that companies are trying to fool you by making false claims.

This particular device wants you to think that using this LED light mask is the same as getting an IPL or BBL laser treatment. That is completely false and there’s no possible way that that could be true.
Here are some questions you should ask when purchasing a new LED light mask
-✔️What is the LED device going to be used for? If the intended result is to increase
collagen production on the face and neck, a mask that just covers the face emitting red
LED light with a wavelength of 600-800 nm and a power output of 20-200 mW/cm2 is
desired for the optimum results. Note: Many masks will not list the power output. The
mask is most effective when both the wavelength and power output is met.
Also of note is that a device that treats hair loss may not treat skin issues as the
wavelength and power will differ between devices. Only use the device for what it was
intended with enclosed instructions.
-✔️Is the device FDA cleared to be safe? The device should indicate “FDA cleared”
somewhere on the box.
-✔️Does the device come with a warranty? Make sure you can return it if it stops working
or doesn’t meet the promises made by the manufacturer.
-✔️What part of the body are you treating? If you think you might want a combo red LED
to treat skin wrinkles and near infrared to treat back pain, be sure the surface area of
the device is big enough to cover both areas.
-✔️Will you truly use the light as directed? The instructions will vary from manufacturers
from using the device daily to using it several times a week. Consistency is key is
getting the best results.

**those with melanated skin should use caution with red and blue LED masks as they might cause hyperpigmentation

Rosacea? You know….flushed cheeks and tiny bumps.
In most cases, one treatment will calm and soothe. I can see how your skin responds and suggest appropriate products to treat it. I’ll also go by over lifestyle tips, like avoiding heat, alcohol, and spicy foods. Wearing mineral sunscreen instead of chemical will really help too.
Your cleanser may have sodium laureth sulfate which is a very common ingredient in cleansers but is very irritating to rosacea-ish skin. And please use only your hands and not a washcloth.
Book and let’s figure out your skin goals together!
