Soulful Shakers even taught us how to dance during the Luau!!! They got up and walked the crowd through the steps and this was the final product! Turner-Surles has an AWESOME group of seniors and we always smile when we see them walk in!!!!!!! Please excuse my camera and its sudden inability to focus! It must have been having a good time as well!

Just to provide some clarity, this event is HUGE!!!! I totally suggest you all join us next year! It is ALWAYS in MAY, and as far as I know, it is ALWAYS at Ingalls Harbor!

This was the best group of people! We want to thank NARCOG and INGALLS HARBOR for hosting, and we would like to thank EACH AND EVERY person who provided their time in any capacity! Those folks who drove the buses, those directors who traveled with their Seniors, those who served lunch and called bingo, those who set up stations with useful information, and a WHOLE LOT OF FUN! There are A LOT of people who play a role in this event, and they do it selflessly!!!!! THANK YOU from City Center Village!!!!!!

Here are a few pictures of our Residents during the NARCOG Senior Luau! Closer to the end of the event, all the Seniors find a seat, enjoy their lunch (provided by NARCOG) and enjoy a few rounds of Bingo! It is about the only time you can catch them sitting still for any length of time during the entire event! It is hard to find them in a SEA OF SENIORS until everyone is seated!!!!

I am finally getting around to sharing our NARCOG Senior Luau content! For those who do not know, this is an annual event and we have the BEST TIME! When I tell you that our local Senior Citizens KNOW how to have a good time....You better believe it because I have VIDEO PROOF!!!!!!

(Please keep in mind that City Center Village does not own the rights to any music you may hear on our videos! We simply enjoy it and like to share it with all of you!)

Our garden area seems to be thriving! For those of you who do not know, we have a total of 3 courtyards on the property, and this particular one has a raised garden bed as well as 2 on the ground!

Our residents can go out and plant what they wish and tend to it. Staff participates as well, but not me! I can't keep a plant alive, so I am only allowed to take pictures!!!! We do want to send out a Special Thank You to one of our residents! Mr. Lacy seems to be enjoying the garden area and he has done A LOT on his own!!!!! Mr. Lacy, we are all enjoying your plants and I promise, I will not touch them!!!!!!!
