🦒 We’re sticking our necks out today to wish Bree a VERY Happy Birthday! 🎉💜

Bree is our North Texas They Wait adoption case manager. We are thankful for the hope and direction she brings to our families who are looking to adopt children who are legally free from the Texas foster system! Bree is a positive light in our office! She is also known as resident movie expert as she loves movies!

She is amazing at connecting with our families…and giraffes evidently! 🦒😆

Here at Addy's Hope, we believe adoption is at the heart of the gospel! With 4,598 legal orphans in Texas alone, we believe God is calling his people to come get his children! Our monthly adoptive mom support group got a little WILD this month! 🦒🦥 🦦 Lemur antics, sloth snuggles, giraffe kisses, and baby otter squeaks will in fact make your day better! 💜

Huge thanks to the Giraffe Inn & Safari for hosting our moms! It was so much fun watching our moms get to relax, laugh, connect, and enjoy a space to pour into themselves for a moment!! And a special thanks to owner Tiffany for the special touch of writing a note to each mom and reminding us of our individual, God-giving identity!

If you are an adoptive mom, we would love for you to join us for one of our monthly Coffee Moms groups (love of coffee not required!) It is a sacred space for those walking this unique journey to share common struggles, celebrate the victories - no matter how small, feel less alone, and be encouraged as well as encourage others with your own story! We would love to have you (adoption from Addy’s Hope not a requirement)!

🚸Have you ever been in an ARD meeting and wished you knew more about your rights as a parent?
🚸Have you ever wished you knew the legal timelines for Special Education to know if the schoool was operating within the law?
🚸Do you just want to know where to go for more information to eduate yourself to be a better advocate for your child?
🚸Did you take placement of a child and find yourself in an ARD meeting within days of becoming a parent and don't feel like you have cought your breath yet with the education system?

There is support and answsers for all of this and more at our special education focused adoptive parent support group! It is open to anyone who has adoptive placement of their child (either prior or post finalization) or has been matched and are waiting for adoptive placment. You do not have to have worked with Addy's Hope to attend - it is open to all adoptive families! You can email [email protected] to get a code for a scholarship to waive the registration fee.

It's this Sunday, August 23, but there is still time to register! Come hang out with us at Denton Works!

If you have taken adoptive placement of your children or have finalized your adoption - no matter how long ago - we would love for you to join us! Come connect as a family & with other adoptive families! You do not have to be an Addy's Hope family to attend! We do ask that you register because we have to pre-purchase the tickets to get you in the door!

Pizza and drinks will be provided for dinner while you are at the park! We hope hope to see you there!!
