Inflammation is the first stage of healing!

Your body knows how to heal and repair. 💪

When you cut your finger, blood flow to the area rises, and immune cells move in to clear away damaged tissue and rebuild it. The warmth, the swelling, the tenderness are all part of that process doing its job.

Shutting down inflammation is its own process. Your body has to send the signals that say the repair is complete and the response can settle.

Healing depends on both starting the process and completing it, and your nervous system handles the timing.

The brain needs to receive information about the conditions throughout your body and create commands for the body to adjust how strongly you respond and how quickly you settle. It’s similar to when your nervous system shifts you into a stress state when you need to react and back into recovery when the moment has passed.

If you spend long stretches in that stress state (whether from daily pressure, poor sleep, or old injuries) and your nervous system has interference in its communication, inflammation may continue, and healing may not be completed!

Chiropractic identifies and clears this interference, so your body can respond and repair well.
