The Center for Dizziness and Balance-D'Iberville is an innovative, specialized practice dedicated to high-quality, evidence-based vestibular, neurological, and balance rehabilitation. We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated, and team-oriented Physical Therapist to help patients improve balance and gait stability through a sensory-balance approach.

What This Position Offers:
• One-on-one patient sessions with 40-minute appointments
• Mentorship with a clinically certified vestibular specialist with a neurological rehabilitation background
• Specialized equipment including the SoloStep Overhead Harness, Virtualis VR System, Bioness Integrative Therapy System (BITS), NeuroCom Balance Master, and Vestibular First infrared goggles
• Opportunity to develop advanced vestibular rehabilitation knowledge and skills

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive evaluations and create evidence-based plans of care for patients with multifactorial balance conditions
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications:
• Licensed Physical Therapist in Mississippi
• Strong interest or experience in neurological rehabilitation
• New graduates with strong neurological clinical internships are welcome

🌸 Pelvic Health Therapy at Encore Rehabilitation🌸
Did you know that bladder leakage, pelvic pain, pressure, or discomfort may be related to your pelvic floor — and that therapy may be able to help?

We’re excited to spotlight Jaylah Martin, Occupational Therapist, and the growing pelvic health services available at Encore Rehabilitation at DeKalb Regional Medical Center!

Jaylah has expanded her Occupational Therapy expertise into Women’s Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, helping women address concerns that can affect everyday comfort, confidence, and quality of life.

Pelvic Health Therapy may be beneficial for women experiencing concerns such as:

• Urinary leakage or difficulty controlling the bladder
• Frequent or urgent trips to the bathroom
• Pelvic pain or pressure
• Pain or discomfort with in*******se
• Pelvic floor weakness
• Symptoms associated with pelvic organ prolapse
• Constipation or difficulty with bowel movements
• Pregnancy-related pelvic discomfort
• Postpartum recovery and weakness
• Core weakness or difficulty returning to normal activities after pregnancy or surgery

These symptoms can be common, but many people don’t realize they may be related to the pelvic floor or that rehabilitation could be an option.

In February, Jaylah completed Herman & Wallace Pelvic Function Level 1 training and continues to build her clinical experience in pelvic floor rehabilitation. She is currently tracking her pelvic floor patient-care hours as she works toward meeting the requirements to pursue board certification in this specialty.

Jaylah has been with Encore for nearly three years and has diverse experience treating orthopedic injuries and surgeries, stroke-related conditions, pediatric patients, and more. Her newest area of focus is helping expand access to Pelvic Health Rehabilitation right here in our community!

Just in time for kickoff—Joe Harville is back in the game!

After working hard throughout his rehabilitation, Joe has been released from Physical Therapy and is ready to hit the football field for Grenada Middle School’s first game of the season!

We’re excited to recognize him as Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation–Grenada!

Joe is an 8th grader at Grenada Middle School and a two-sport athlete who plays football and baseball for the Chargers. His determination during rehab paid off, and he couldn’t be more excited to return to the field with his teammates!

The Chargers kick off their season Thursday night at 6:30 against the Clarksdale Wildcats. We’ll be cheering for Joe and the entire team!

Congratulations, Joe! We’re proud of the work you put into your recovery and LOVE seeing you back doing what you enjoy!

Join us in congratulating Cathey Berardi, Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation–Opelika!

Following a left shoulder debridement with mini biceps tenodesis, Ms. Berardi has worked hard in Physical Therapy to restore her range of motion, strength, and shoulder stability. Her dedication and consistency have led to great results!

Encore Rehabilitation – Russellville is excited to recognize Elijah "Eli" Baker as our Athlete of the Month! 🎉

Eli competes in basketball and baseball for the Phil Campbell Bobcats. He has had an outstanding year, receiving the MVP, Perfect Game Tournament, and Most Improved Hitter awards for the Bobcats. He also earned MVP honors for his travel baseball team! ⚾🏀

After high school, Eli hopes to pursue a degree in Industrial Engineering and continue playing baseball at the collegiate level.

When he’s not on the court or field, Elijah enjoys fishing, turkey hunting, dove hunting, and playing basketball and baseball. In fact, Elijah loves just about anything outdoors!

Eli is the son of Tyler and Jessica Baker.

Tommy John surgery may have put JT Moreno on the sidelines, but it certainly hasn’t slowed down his drive!

We are excited to recognize JT as Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation–Andalusia!

A junior at Straughn High School, JT is a two-sport athlete competing in baseball and football for the Tigers. He has brought the same determination and work ethic to Physical Therapy as he does to competition, working hard throughout his rehabilitation following Tommy John surgery.

That competitive spirit has already earned JT Second Team All-Region honors in football, and his goals extend well beyond high school athletics. After graduation, he plans to attend the University of Florida, major in sports medicine, and pursue a career as a sports medicine physician assistant.

When he’s not competing, training, or studying, JT enjoys working out, listening to music, and just about anything involving sports.

He is the son of Jan and Ernie Moreno.

We are proud to celebrate JT’s hard work and excited to cheer him on as he continues his comeback! Congratulations, JT!
