Dear Drugs,
You didn’t just take my sibling—you took pieces of our entire family.
You stole the laughter, the trust, the late-night talks, and the person I used to know. You turned every unanswered call into fear and every knock at the door into panic.
I miss my sibling even when they’re standing right in front of me.
But hear me clearly: you don’t get to destroy me too. I will love them, pray for them, and hope they choose recovery—but I will no longer help you keep them sick.
You’ve already taken enough.
—The sibling who is still here, still hurting, and finally setting boundaries
