Scarcity says, "There's not enough success for all of us."

Abundance says, "Let's build together."

The most successful women understand that another woman's success is not a threat—it's proof that success is possible. They celebrate each other's wins, share opportunities, make introductions, and create partnerships that elevate everyone involved.

There is room for more than one expert, more than one leader, and more than one successful business.

When women choose collaboration over competition, industries change, businesses grow, and communities become stronger.

Support the women in your field. Recommend them. Celebrate them. Champion their work.
Because the strongest leaders don't fear another woman shining—they help her shine even brighter.

If you believe collaboration is more powerful than competition, drop a 💜 in the comments.

Early detection is best! Be sure to keep up on your regular screenings!

Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), also called intraductal carcinoma, is Stage 0 breast cancer. DCIS is a non-invasive, early-stage cancer where abnormal cells have been found in the lining of the breast milk ducts. Nearly all women with DCIS have an excellent prognosis. However, if left untreated or undetected, DCIS may spread into the surrounding breast tissue and could become a more advanced cancer. When DCIS spreads beyond the milk ducts and invades other areas of the breast, it becomes invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC), which is a higher stage of breast cancer that can become life-threatening.

❓Is it common?
DCIS is a common form of breast cancer, accounting for approximately 20-25% of all new breast cancer cases in the United States. DCIS does not usually present with any noticeable signs or symptoms and is often found as a result of an annual screening mammogram, making early detection the key to finding breast cancer in this early stage.

❓What does “in situ” mean?
The earliest stage of cancer is called “carcinoma in situ.” Carcinoma means “cancer” and in situ is Latin for “in the original place.” Together, ductal carcinoma in situ means that the cancer is only in the place it originated (the milk ducts) and has not spread from that original place.

❓What does treatment look like?
Common treatments for DCIS include surgery, radiation, and hormonal therapy, or a combination of these. Chemotherapy is not typically used to treat DCIS. Remember: the best treatment plan will be determined by you and your oncology team.

❓What’s the prognosis for DCIS?
The prognosis for DCIS is excellent. More than 99% of patients diagnosed with DCIS will recover and live more than 5 years after their initial diagnosis.

❓Is DCIS hereditary?
Not all DCIS or other breast cancers are hereditary. However, a family history of breast cancer is a risk factor for developing DCIS and other types of breast cancer. Genetic mutations passed through the genes from parent to child, such as BRCA gene mutations, can also increase the chances of developing DCIS, though a genetic (hereditary) link is more commonly associated with invasive breast cancers than DCIS.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services said these five individuals ate jalapeños at a single Chipotle location in south-central Montana in early July. Although the CDC didn't specify which city was the source, a Bozeman woman filed a lawsuit against Chipotle this week in connection with the outbreak.
