This year, we are proud to recognize two incredible members of our Boyd-Caratozzolo family, Pat and Kirk, as they each celebrate 25 years with our company.

Over the past 25 years, they have brought compassion, dedication, and heart to the families we serve and to our staff.

Kirk is known for his commitment to community outreach and for finding meaningful ways to add personal touches that honor every life entrusted to our care.

Pat is a wealth of knowledge, the steady force behind the scenes who keeps everything running smoothly, and someone who is loved by everyone she works with—especially the children of our staff!

Their contributions over the years have helped shape who we are today, and we are incredibly grateful for all they have done. Congratulations, Pat and Kirk, on this remarkable milestone. Here’s to 25 wonderful years and many more to come.

When there was a request for donations for the North Babylon Food Pantry Garden posted, our manager Kirk Thompson was happy to help. He visited Paul Usak's Nursery & Garden Center, where Andrew was incredibly kind and even offered a courtesy discount once he learned the plants were for the garden.

After delivering the donations, Kirk was humbled by the beautiful work being done by the volunteers. The garden helps provide fresh food to elderly neighbors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and young families in our community.

It truly takes a village, and we are grateful to be part of such a caring community. We’re also excited to soon become a drop-off location for their food pantry.

This morning, Kirk Thompson, manager of the funeral home, stopped by the 1st Precinct to drop off pastry platters for the incredibly deserving men and women of the Suffolk County Police Department in honor of National Police Week.

We are so grateful for the dedication, sacrifice, and service these officers provide to our community each and every day. Offering a few sweet treats was the very least we could do to show our appreciation for all that they do.

This Mother’s Day, our staff had the honor of creating special gift bags for the resident mothers at Berkshire Nursing Home.

We wanted these sweet women to feel celebrated, appreciated, and reminded of just how special they truly are. Mothers spend their lives caring for others, and it was a privilege to give back in a small way and help make their day a little brighter.

Thank you to Berkshire Nursing Home for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful celebration.

A huge thank you to our friends at ACLD for helping us assemble these wonderful gifts for the Moms! We couldn’t have done it without you!!

We had such a wonderful time visiting with the lovely men and women who attend the Wyandanch Senior Nutrition Center.

We are incredibly grateful for the invitation and the opportunity to speak about the importance of protecting your loved ones through thoughtful advance planning.

The afternoon was filled with meaningful conversation, education, laughter, and community. In addition to receiving important information about preplanning and how it can ease the burden on families, attendees were also treated to fun DIY spring cookie decorating kits courtesy of the funeral home staff to take home, enjoy, and celebrate the season.

Thank you again for welcoming us so warmly — it was truly a pleasure spending time together.

A quiet reminder that even in moments of loss, there is still beauty, love, and the gentle presence of hope.

On this St. Patrick’s Day, we’re thinking of the love, memories, and blessings that stay with us always—like a clover, simple, meaningful, and deeply cherished.

We are honored to help you celebrate those lives and hold space for the memories that will never fade.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

Our community has an opportunity to help in a meaningful way.

On March 2, 73 rabbits arrived at the Babylon Animal Shelter, and the shelter is urgently seeking support from the community to help care for them.

They are currently in need of fresh leafy greens, including kale, collard greens, spinach, romaine lettuce, escarole, mustard greens, and turnip greens.

The shelter is also looking for foster homes to help provide temporary care for these rabbits while permanent solutions are arranged. If you or someone you know may be interested in fostering, please reach out to the shelter directly.

We are honored to support the LI Pizza Strong fundraiser, coming together as a community to show love and support during an incredibly difficult time.

Today, we were proud to send pizzas to the Suffolk County Police Department First Precinct, the North Babylon Fire Co Headquarters and the Dix Hills Fire District as a small thank you for the dedication, courage, and sacrifice these men and women show every day in service to our community.

Officer Espinosa was simply heading to work to do what she had committed her life to — protecting others — when her life was tragically taken. Our hope is that this fundraiser helps support her family and reminds them that they are surrounded by the strength, compassion, and unity of this beautiful Long Island community we are all proud to call home.

We stand together in gratitude, remembrance, and support.

Below is a photo of the three huge boxes of toys we helped collect for the third year in a row for the Sunshine Toy Drive through the Dix Hills Fire Department, as well as the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center.

The Sunshine Toy Drive began with a fourth grader who simply wanted to make sure every child could feel the joy of the holiday season. Today, this incredible effort delivers toys to over 1,000 Long Island families, bringing smiles to so many little faces each year.

To everyone who donated toys or contributed financially—thank you. We have an additional $600 in toys arriving in the next few days, making this our biggest and most successful year yet. Your kindness truly made a difference in a child’s life. It really does take a village.

From all of us at Claude R. Boyd – Caratozzolo Funeral Home, we wish you and your families a very Happy Holiday Season and a Happy New Year.
