You can’t ever have a bad day at the beach! I am a broken record; but coaching the swim gives me such honor and privilege as a Coach. Today was the Long Beach Lifeguard Memorial OCEAN swim….. Dani, Ray, Jackie and Flo pretty much swim this every year because it’s FUN. Today, Rich swam it because I made him. I challenged him. Rob came along for the support (and fun) and I am SO PROUD! Not only did everyone in this swipe FINISH- there are several PODIUMS as well! The RaD way! Congratulations to everyone who took on the mile! 🦈🦈🦈

One of my favorite things to coach is the open water swim. It makes my heart happy when athletes take on triathlon; of any distance and face open water challenges. Swimming can be plain old scary. Tonight Rich swam a full mile out in the ocean. Most people have never even walked a mile near an ocean. We are so proud of his dedicated training, and excited for what the next few months bring. Way to go Rich! Thank you always, Amy for giving the RaDFaM a beautiful place to train.

Been a great start of the season. We are catching up on race recaps and photo dumps from June. They’re coming. But going backward, it’s podiums all around. Sam took the 3rd step at the off road Xterra event, and both Armand and Pam took the top at the Great Gatsby Sprint! Following their plans, putting in the work and here we are!

Ridge completed his first 70.3 of the season in Italy, with plans to compete in two more 70.3s in Europe this season! Way to go Ridge, explore the World for us!

Triathlon season is underway! Congratulations to our athletes who raced in the different places, all contending with difficult conditions. Chattanooga 70.3 and Cap Cana 70.3 finishers! Way to go FaM! Bonus always a pleasure when RaD meets TWF - best community!!
