What makes recovery last when diets and willpower don’t?
Jean C. shares Eight Practical Lessons I’ve Learned from Working OA’s Twelve Steps—insights shaped by decades in and out of the program.
From understanding the difference between addressing the allergy of the body and the obsession of the mind, to building simple daily practices like prayer, meetings, and nightly review, this story shows how real, lifelong change happens one step at a time. It also offers clear warning signs of relapse and how staying connected can make all the difference.
