What is the number one reason patients do not improve as expected?

We treat a variety of skin rashes. Often, patients do not get the results expected from treatment. Why?

Up to 70% of patients do not use medications as prescribed. This is a problem. Patients get frustrated as their condition may not improve and providers cannot accurately assess the response to treatment.

There are many reasons for patients not using medications as directed, but most importantly, if one is unable or unwilling to use the medications as prescribed, contact your provider as there may be an alternative that is more suitable.
