As an optometrist, one of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping children achieve their best vision and setting them up for success in school, sports, and everyday life.

During Myopia Awareness Week, Iā€™m encouraging parents to prioritize comprehensive eye exams for their children. Myopia (nearsightedness) often begins during childhood and can progress over time. Early detection and treatment can make a significant difference in a childā€™s visual development and long-term eye health.

Last week in Puerto Rico, I had the opportunity to join like-minded leaders at the Target Optical Summit, and it was truly an incredible experience.
