Sometimes the hardest thing to do is wait.

We pray, we make plans, we work hard, and sometimes things still don’t happen the way we hoped.

But I’m learning that waiting doesn’t mean God isn’t working. Sometimes He’s preparing us for something we can’t quite see yet. 💗

Whatever season you’re in today, I hope you remember that His timing is beautiful, even when it’s hard to understand.

One thing I feel so strongly about is making sure those going through cancer treatment know about the support and resources available to them.

The Putnam County Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) is an incredible local organization that helps ease some of the financial burdens that come with a cancer diagnosis.

And something I’m especially excited to share is that CAP will reimburse the cost of oncology facials at Shining Light Esthetics! 💕

It’s simple! You receive your facial, pay for your service, and submit your receipt to CAP for reimbursement.

As an oncology-trained esthetician and massage therapist, providing a safe, comforting space for those going through cancer treatment is something very close to my heart.

My Comforting Glow Oncology Facial is designed to provide gentle skincare, relaxation, and a little time to simply be cared for during a difficult season.

I’m so thankful we have an organization like CAP right here in our community that helps make services like these more accessible. ❤️

Sunday Light 🤍

I can get so caught up thinking about what’s next that I forget to appreciate what’s right in front of me.

This week, I want to pay a little more attention to the small blessings. Time with my family, someone’s kind words, and the opportunity to do work I love.

There’s a lot to thank God for, even while we’re still figuring things out.

✨ A little more about my oncology esthetics training… ✨

One of the things I’m most passionate about in my career is being able to provide a safe, relaxing space for those who are going through cancer treatment. ❤️

I received my oncology esthetics training through Oncology Spa Solutions, founded by the amazing Becky Kuehn, who is a cancer survivor herself.

What I love so much about this organization is that they teach so much more than just how to perform a facial. Their education focuses on understanding how cancer treatments affect the skin and body, knowing when and how to modify treatments, and most importantly, caring for each person with compassion.

I’ve also had the opportunity to attend their retreat a couple of years ago, and that experience was so special to me. Being surrounded by other professionals who share the same heart for helping others was incredibly inspiring. I learned so much, made wonderful connections, and left feeling even more passionate about this part of my career. I truly hope to attend again in the future! 💕

One thing I’ve learned through my oncology training is that sometimes a facial isn’t really about skincare at all.

Sometimes it’s about giving someone an hour to relax, feel cared for, and just be themselves outside of everything they’re going through.

I’m so thankful for Becky and Oncology Spa Solutions for the education, encouragement, and heart they put into this field.

My hope is to continue growing in oncology esthetics and to make these services more accessible to people in our communities who need a little extra care and comfort.

This is truly where my heart is. ❤️
